I have been advised to have the surgery at every stage whilst seeing a specialist but as the chance of me falling pregnant was so very slim i was not willing to take the chance.
they are still huge but the only pain i feel from the cysts is the baby kicking them, otherwise my baby is now big enough that should the operation be necessary to avoid serious health risks to me or baby, he/she has a 95% chance of survival.
Im glad I took the risk, but would have been less willing if I wasnt seeing a specialist.
The cysts can be painful at times, and i know the first time hearing about them is scary and can make you more prone to get the surgery.
but these (when I have the surgery after the baby) will be my 3rd set of cysts, each time they come back they are worse.
BUT.. you can live with them for a while & the pains wont be so important when you are enjoying your pregnancy. They can swell till they pop...but they can also just increase in size with little chance of bursting. Iv had these for 18 months & my baby is now using them as pillows.
Dont let fear force your decision. Just firmly request that your doctor refers you to a specialist OBGYN and trust your instincts, they are bizarrely in tune with your body when you are carrying.
GOOD LUCK

I am also in the same boat as alot of you listed above, honestly it makes me feel better! I am pregnant with my first baby and during my 7 week ultrasound they found a large mass and found out it was a cyst the size of a six month pregnancy! i am going in for surgery august 19th right after my birthday! i think daddy is more scared than me! altho as the time ticks by i get more and more nervous for my lil unborn baby! they will have to make a large incision and remove the mass that is making me look farther along than i actually am. they will also be removing my overie!!! nooooo i want more kids but luckly i can work a little harder with the remaining overie i will be left with. i am just sooooo greatfull that i am having this ONE baby. i just hope and pray it works out for all of us! i will be taking 4-6 weeks off work!! 1gaaaaa that is going to be hard i need my money! but also know my health and my baby comes first!!! i will try to let you guys know how it goes and also i have the best man ever he will be taking me to the hospital and also spending the whole time and night with me there. it is great to have him by my side! i still dont understand how i have this large mass growing in me and it took an ultra sound to find it!! it is really large like a basketball and i am a very tiny girl they said they cant drain it because it had lots of lines in it as if it is multiple that had joined together!! yikes!!! boy the pain us ladies have to suffer!!
p.s my moter just had an 11lb cyst removed they removed all her woman parts due to finding more when they did surgery
my grandmother had a 6lb one removed and my sister had them but they are tiny and pop on their own!!! poor family!
GOD BLESS US ALL AND OUT LIL SURVIVING TOUGH ANGELS!!

I found out I had a 17 cm cyst when I was 7 weeks pregnant at my first ultra sound. My doctor referred me to a cancer specialist as there is always a possibility the cyst can be cancerous. The cancer specialist told me I had to get this cyst removed as it could cause complications with the baby growing and scheduled surgery for when I was 15 weeks pregnant. I was so scared that I decided not to tell my family I was pregnant until after i had the surgery since there is a possibility of total pregnancy loss due to the surgery. Thank God I had the surgery as scheduled and was out of the hospital that same afternoon that I had the surgery. I was walking that same day and the pain was almost gone by 48 hours after the surgery. God was on my side and the baby is still doing great as I am 28 weeks pregnant now and have had no complications. I walk a lot and eat very healthy of course as with the surgery the doctor said it's very possible i will go into pre term labor. The worse thing that happened is that I lost my right ovary but I still have the left one and the baby has enough room to grow until she is ready to come out :)
If you have to go through this just make sure you trust the doctor that is doing the surgery. I have 2 very small incisions each less than an inch in size and that was enough to pull my ovary through and drain the cyst to get rid of it. I feel very blessed.
