I'm 55 and smoked since I was 16... I stopped cold turkey 7 weeks ago, and it has been gruelling.. I never anticipated the adverse physical , emotional, and mental withdrawal issues associated with quitting / ending my nicotine addiction.. Given what I'd heard, I expected improvements in my health upon stopping smoking, but it has been the opposite... Again, I had been a heavy smoker for more than 35 years and expected a long haul to recovery... My withdrawal issues have consisted of panic attacks, depression, dizziness, muscle pain and chronic fatigue..

I'm having the exact same symptoms and I was a pack a week (heavy on weekend) plus weed. I'm about a month in and after 2 weeks of quitting smoking cigarettes, I've had to quit smoking weed as well because it would pretty much kill me. My coughs are dry and still taste metallic... Hope you're doing will now after a year...

You don’t have to be nicotine free to say you quit.
Cigarettes kill.
Nicotine does not.
Not smoking cigs is the best thing you can do
