hi. i have had my period for about 2 years and i dont remember when it started, but i have been having heavy vaginal discharge for a long time now. i have to wear a pad everyday. i dont have any burning or itching sensations but i am uncomfortable and wet all the time. i have never had sex or anything liek it so why am i having it? is it normal? and can it be stopped or made into less or a problem?
I am 19. and i have been having a LOT of white discharge all the time for the last 3 months. I have been to the gynecologist and everything and have been tested for STD's of all sorts (keeping in mind i only messed around with one guy) and the doctor says that its normal if it is not causing any irritation, inflammation, burning, or itching, however if you have been messing around with guys i suggest just going to get tested for STD's because it is possible to catch stuff without actual INTERCOURSE. So go to the doctor and get it checked out also i don't want u to be scared but ask for a PAP smear (checks for cancer, abnormalites etc) for your own peace of mind.

seriously, i have to have been given the worst discharge problem in the world and there is really no help for us, iv searched for days and been to doctors 5 times about it, got 3 swabs and nothing comes up, i know for a fact it must mean there is something wrong, i could be graphic and explain but i really dont want to, iv never had sex and could go through life being too embarrassed, there is really no help for us im just roaming again as it gets worse every year. i saw someone with it on embarrassing illnesses and i was SOO ANGRY that they diddnt do a F***ing thing for her but the same as me, give her a swab and tell her everythings normal. anyway i dont know if anyone will even look at this blog but please reply coz i dont know if its a common problem or not and we need to get some medical researcher to pay some F***ing attention to us!! im 17 and a half by the way and started my discharge whan i was TEN!! even before that i had a tiny one and i started my period when i was 14 and a half :-(:-(:-(:-(

Just out of curiosity are you on birth control or not? I only ask because even if you are not sexually active or you don't plan to be, then you can still be on it and it helps quite a bit with symptoms of heavy periods and I think it might really be the solution to your problem if you haven't yet considered it. I hope that you talk to your doctor about it. Keep us posted on whatever happens!

I have had heavy white vaginal discharge(leukorrhea) since I started my period. It has always been a pain but I just deal with it. I where a panty liner everyday. In fact, the only time I am allowed to not wear panty liners is when I am on my period and using tampons. It's normal, maybe not for everyone, but for a lot of people. My fiance doesn't mind it and I am sure that the men in relationships you get into will not mind either. It is a fact of life, we all deal with grose disgusting things that just down right suck! Also, it is not good to be moist for long periods of time because it can cause infections so I recomend that you change panty liners often and even use baby powder.

Hope that I was of some help to you.
