3 days ago i was uncomfortable sitting down and thought nothing of it, and later that night i looked in the mirror and found a small somewhat pea size shaped growth just above the opening to my anus.
also note that a few days (maybe weeks) before this there was little streaks of blood on the toilet paper and with a pain as if there was a cut there when whiping, but with no other pain at any other time.
now that growth is much bigger (in length not width) and is causing pain when im walking, sitting down, standing up, coughing. anything that causes my anus to contract.
i have, as most people would, looked this up online and from what i've read it sounds either like hemorrhoids or an anal abscess.
i'm thinking if the pain carries on i will go to the doctors soon, but just wanted to work out whether it will go away pretty fast, or if it sounds like it could get worse before it gets better.

Hey man, I've had the exactly same problem like you. It's definitely hemorrhoids and it evolved in an anal abscess. It first appeared 2 years ago, after I did some difficult lifting, and I was careless. It popped out, like you said, bean sized. I also went through the same trouble because I was practically immobile, and it was constantly bleeding.But alternative methods saved me. I suggest you to rub oil on it, in order to soften it and the hemorrhoid will remove itself. But the thing about it is that it's recurrent and I still have problems every month or so. Just apply oil to it and stay still for a few days and it will pass.

It is more likely a hemorrhoid than an abscess. If you undergo hemorrhoidectomy, the pain will worsen at first but subside within a few days and you'll get better if things proceed smoothly.
