I think that tomato soup makes a great lunch, and I happen to have all the ingredients I need right here in my kitchen, or so I think! But what do I have to do to make my home made tomato soup taste just as good as the tomato soup you can get in Italian restaurants? I am sure the key is in the herbs. Which herbs do you use?

I love tomato soup and of course there are many varieties of it. If you want to make a tomato soup that tastes Italian, the herbs you would logically put in there are oregano, basil and thyme, and if possible in any way, you should get fresh herbs and not the dried substitute. Believe me; this will make a huge difference.
