Hi! I'm hoping someone can help me! Last October after 6 different rides to the ER they finally found out why I was in extreme pain. The Dr told me I had MSSA! At first they said it was MRSA but figured out it was MSSA. I first had an injection to see if that would help with the pain but it didn't work. Then after they did a needle biopsy that's when they found the staph infection. The Drs decided to open me up to clean out my hip. After they did that i went to a nursing home for 6 weeks of IV antibiotics. Well, the infection went away and is still gone and my labs are perfect! So then why can't i put any weight on that leg at all? Also bending that knee is hard to do too! I have had osteoarthritis in that hip for many years now but I have always been able to walk!
Now it's been over 6 months and still can't put any weight on it. I can't sit up straight. When i am sitting I can't reach for things in front of me because my leg has to be straight so i can sit. I can hardly lift it up and i need help getting in bed because of it! I have lost side to side ROM and up and down ROM! Can anyone help or has had similar problems?
The pain I went thru was so bad that I would of rather had 10 babies! The smallest bump, someone trying to touch my foot sent my pain off the charts!!
Try Physical Therapy… I had a biopsy on my hip because I was having unexplained pain. I then developed CRPS which might be the cause with you. I'd recommend looking into CRPS…
