Hi, I am a 22 year old newly wed. I just got off BC pills after a year of taking them because it was giving me severe pain in my calf. Due to fear of a posssible blood clot, we have discontinued use. I printed an ovulation calendar from the net, and we really want to try the Natural calendar method of Birth control. My question is, how much of a risk is there? I will be having sex about a week or so before my period (according to the calendar) and I will be having a lot of it, until the calendar marks my "period" and "ovulation" time, then I will stop. I don't want a baby right now, but if it were to happen...I would be happy and so would he. But again, how much at risk am I putting myself by doing this?

Please Help.
Thank you, :-(
The calendar method is NOT perfect, because although it does not change every month , YOUR body can.

You would be better off using a "SPONGE" too, or some other barrier, mainly because sperm can live for up to 5 days inside of you...

IF YOU are HAPPY ABOUT HAVING A BABY, then this method will be fine...

BUT IF YOU TRULY AND HONESTLY wanna wait, then you need a more reliable method.
