IM NOT SURE IF PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO GET SYMPATHY OR WHAT.  THERE IS A SPECIFIC QUESTION SOME OF US ARE TRYING TO GET ANSWERED.  HOW LONG DO WE HAVE TO WAIT AFTER THE LAST DOSE OF DILUADID BEFORE TAKING SUBOXONE/ SUBUTEX???? IT WOULD BE A HUGE HELP.  ALSO, DOES ANYONE HAVE PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WITH TAKING THE STRIPS, THE 8 MG SUBOXONE PILLS, AND THE 8 MG SUBUTEX PILL? IN THE PAST I HAVE ONLY USED THE PILLS.... NEVER THE STRIPS.  IS THERE A DIFFERENCE? ARE THE STRIPS BETTER THAN THE PILLS? ANY ADVICE IS MUCH APPRECIATED? IT WOULD ALSO BE NICE IF SOMEONE COULD JUST ANSWER THE INITIAL f*****g QUESTION.

THAT IS ALL

I don't understand what everyone is talking about....I switch back and forth constantly so I don't get too sick but I've taken suboxone as little as six hours after an opiate and feel fine.in fact I feel the effects of the sub like normal.im sure it isn't recommended but a few people I know have.taken them close with no issues.UNLESS it was the other way around.I wouldn't ever take an opiate a couple hours after a sub.that's just ...wrong.lol.

i realllllly dont understand why everyone else seems to have to wait so long to take suboxone after taking an opiate. ive been a vicodin/herion addict for 6 years now and used every single day, several times a day & started taking suboxone about a year ago. i've NEVER had to wait more than 12 hours to take a suboxone after taking opiates, so im not sure why everyone else says it causes horrible withdrawls. ive been on several sites, looking up the same question and it seems everyone says to wait atleast 2 days, to even a week, and i dont get it. i know everyones different, but i have honestly never had a problem with taking suboxone anywhere between 6-12 hours after taking an opiate. i wonder why its so different for everyone else .

Usually 24 hrs. .I can take them at the same time. . Along with many people I know. . You won't go into withdraw..u can either wait 12 hrs and feel safe about it. . Or just take it. .I take them together!

I can take subs with In about 6-8hrs and not go thru any withdrawal to say I like the pills better than the strip do to you can crush up and dose easier a little sub goes a long way I sometimes have to take more at first but after that a little works I have a big habit with opanas and oxys doing 300 mg at least at 1 time would do 20 of my greens and at once a lot of powder to shove up your nose

Lol, agreed. They recommend 12-24 Hours. You don't want to take it early because, like people have said, you fall into precipitated WD.. which sucks. I personally waited 24 hrs on the dot this last time. I used for 2 weeks straight and I felt like a million bucks after I woke up 3 hours later. My WD were not as bad as they have been in the past. When I went to rehab and I had been using heavy for 1 1/2 years they gave me one (1MG) after about 20 hours and I was fine. I guess height and weight matter so heres mine. 105 5'2" 25 yrs old F. Less is more. I took 4 mg this last time. I didn't need that much at all. but I didn't want to take the time to cut it into little pieces since I was hurting.

Take the Suboxone as soon as you start to feel withdrawal symptoms. I decided that I couldn't sleep after using heroin earlier today so I was bored and took Suboxone. WHAT A MISTAKE!!!!!!! I hadn't waited long enough so I went into rapid withdrawals. No joke THE WORST I HAVE EVER EVER EVER WITHDREW IN MY LIFE!! I threw up and everything which has never happened to me before even at the worst part of my heroin addiction. But strangely enough they (the rapid withdrawals) only lasted about twenty minutes and the I was completely fine. But it is still not worth being impatient and "bored" ever again.

Hello.

We are conducting short anonymous survey about Suboxone treatment, withdrawal and side effects.

The goal of this survey is to gather real life experiences from you and other people who went through treatment with Suboxone, Subutex or any form of medication that contains buprenorphine/naloxone.

We’ll use your experiences to make an ebook guide in order to help all patients who are currently going through Suboxone treatment, Suboxone withdrawal or who are experiencing side effects.

This survey won’t take more than 10 minutes of your time, and your answers may help people who are going through hard times on Suboxone.

You can access the survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/92QJT98

Thank you,
Billy

it honestly depends on ur tolerance and what opiate ur taking. short half life pills like roxy I find I could take subs as soon as I started to feel withdrawels. now, that was yrs ago and since then my tolerance has skyrocketed due to longer half-life having opiates, such as heroin and I have to wait at the least 24 hours before I can take subs n I start with like a quarter of an 8 mg strip n feel a lil better but the next day it gets better and the suboxone seems to start working better. it really has a lot to do with ur tolerance. how long u have been using, what opiate u r using and even then everyones body is different. I recommend at least 24 hrs after ur last dose of an opiate. good luck! withdrawels are a b***h. but its so hard to stay clean when u have experienced the highs and the withdrawels...I have a real love/hate relationship with opiates. love the way they make me feel but hate how I feel without em, even after withdrawels pass each time I try to kick. it will consume ur soul. but it feels so good! catch 22!
