it all depends on the opiate taken and how long the half life is, nothing more than that other than maybe the user's weight, a time release, extended release,, etc. At the med's half life, this is normally when you completely w/d unless you weigh less, the c**p will be out of your body a lot sooner. If you take an instant release pill, 5 to 8 hours later you should be withdrawing bad enough to have to take it. This means you will have terrible stomach cramps coming in waves, possible leg pains, (RLS isn't what you feel, you get w/d leg pains, under the thigh, above the thighs, and it feels awful, the sweats, cold chills, nautiousness, etc.) this means you are ready to take it. If you don't wait for this at the bare minimum 12 to 14 hours after taking Oxycontins, such as the OP version, then you will w/d badly.

Let's put it this way, I was on all fours, gasping for air, nearly couldn't breath, my wife thought I was faking, then I ran to vomit like a madman, I took it at 6.5 hours once I felt stomach cramping. These cramps must not have been related to opioid w/d, and I dropped maybe 1 mg to 2 mg of sub strips. I was never so sick or scared and I handle myself quite well with withdrawals until the 3rd or 4th day normally.

It's a situation that I do not ever wish to repeat again. It was awful and everybody eventually experiences this if they do not listen, think it won't happen to them or just palin old think they are sick enough. Opiates suck, sickness sucks, and so does pain. The sweats created by opiates suck ass too.. I wish I never touched them ever! Happiness goes away and it never comes back until you stop these things. It's vicious and wish it upon nobody, not even if I had an enemy..It's the worst thing in the world, it really is.

I've been on the 8mg strips for a little over 27 months now I swear by them however my pain doc explained to me that the pill is a little stronger for instance an 8mg subutex is equal to like 5-6mg of suboxone I'm not sure just cause I've never taken subutex but subutex doesn't have the nalaxone blocker either...I hope this helps I've be clean Nov 18 2016 was 27 months off pain pills!!!

I am in complete agreement with you. listen to anyone who says wait 8 or 12 hours before taking the suboxin and you'll be fine. I weighted almost 14 hours and took a quarter of an 8 milligram strip and was put through in too hard and severe withdrawal. I tried another quarter to see if that would help but it did not . I am very afraid to do it again..

I agree I waited 24 hours it was hard but it worked for me. It seems like every web site wants TMI I guess they think we are stupid. Well you have to be pretty darn smart to get to where you are. Doesn't make sense but its true. good luck and god bless you can succeed don't let anyone treat you like you are dumb know you can do it. Plus you need to take 8 to 12 mgs a day.(Or longer suboxone is more addictive so be careful you can do it HAVE FAITH YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!

EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT I THINK IT DEPENDS ON HOW LONG YOU HAVE BEEN ADDICTTED AND HOW YOUR BODY RESPONDS TO THE DRUG

I've never actually posted my experiences on these forums, but I can tell you, in my experiences, I have taken large amounts of opioids, and when I started coming down, I would take a sub the same day... Not only did the subs work, but I actually felt like they worked better than if I'd just taken the sub alone... I went through no serious withdrawal symptoms, but, keep in mind, I took the opioids BEFORE taking the sub... If I take opioids AFTER taking the subs, the subs do their job, and I did experience withdrawl... So, long story short, Opioids before subs in the same day actually gave me a great buzz. I am fully aware that everyone reacts differently to medications, and this might not be the case for many, but that's just my two cents. Anyone else tried this and had the same reaction? Just curious. .

Very descritive and intuitive post. Especially about the pharmaceutical companies. I think it's especially important to realize how these companies abuse their power over helping people with certain diseases, especially the disease of addiction. Today in Lakeland Florida 1 8mg Suboxone strip was 17.00 at a pharmacy. Now that many people as the young man stated above, have turned from 30's and blues to Heroin the pharmaceutical companies basically are gonna get their money either way, now it's with the cure- narcan and suboxen prices sky rocketing to unseen prices. Pretty twisted the whole boom was started by the pill mill epidemic.
