how long after opiates can you take suboxone without going into withdrawls?

Taking subs on top of opiates n u go in to with drawn is the f*****g worst worse then jus bein sick its like times 5 I'm serious worst ..wait 24 hours even if your starting to feel sick u don't wanna go into pre with draw

I can't answer your initial question, but can tell you that the Suboxone 8mg/2mg film works very well and is quicker than a pill form of Suboxone.

after taking the strip you have to wait 72 hours and tell the opiate blocker gets out of your system before you can use dope if you take the Suboxone strip can you take the Suboxone pill or will it Clash say if I took a suboxone strip 24 hours for 24 hours can I do a Suboxone pill the second day and if I wait to take the strip should I take half of it to help kick out the withdrawals my first round or break it down in 1/4 how much should I take the first time when I start getting my withdrawals off of coming off of dope

You have to wait until you start having some symptoms of withdrawal. For my it’s usually about 12 hrs.

I was on Fentynal before my first back surgery 15 years ago. The clinic I was going to had me try Suboxone and I'm pretty sure it was as simple as, "just stop taking your pain med 12 hours before you come in and take the Sub. The variable in the equation was that I was wearing my patches on a spot on my arm that is rather bony and we didn't know that it was being absorbed into my bone which changes everything. I wasn't happy when I was on my way to the clinic, fentynal withdrawal sucks behind! But I was most certainly in withdrawal and had waited about 14 hours or more to be safe. I went into precipitated withdrawal. It was hell, I was there for hours and they couldn't do anything to reverse it. I vaguely remember the doc asking me if I was on anything else and me being really pissed because I wasn't, and was only getting of the patch because I was having surgery that week and didn't want to be on a large dose and wake up during the surgery or have them not be able to manage my pain because of my tolerance. The thing you have to consider is that precipitated wd is hell, it would be way less hellish to just go cold turkey. Do not push the time because you will regret it. The last time I took sub was just to a quick detox and pause the tolerance. I waited 14 hours after taking my last norco 10. I didn't have any withdrawal symptoms and after a couple of days went off the sub and after a few more days went back on the norco, but at a much lower dose. You have to consider what you are taking, if you take Morphine Sulfate, it's time release and will stick with you longer. Heroin is much more faster acting. You'll go into withdrawal sooner but be, in most cases further into withdrawal sooner as well. The only way to do this right is to cut down on the habit forming substance as much as possible first. PD, is hell! i mean the worst you've ever felt in your life hell. I'm about to do suboxone tomorrow. I need to give my body a break from the Norco and I'm in too much pain to slowly cut down. Thank u so much! You’re very knowledgeable. I just had surgery and wanted to know how long to wait to take Suboxone. Granted I only take 1/2mg, but still rather be safe than sorry. I actually did take Suboxone one time too early and it was a full 8mg(this was years ago)and it was the worst withdrawals I’ve ever experienced! And I didn’t know better and took after like maybe 5 or 6 hours. Now I know! So thank u again for your expertise!

How long should a doctor keep you in suboxen before taking you off? I feel 5 years is just too long and it gets you addicted to the soboxen.

Tonight when I got off work I was pulling out into traffic and there was a young girl in the middle lane who stepped right out in front of my car. I could tell she was high but I wasn’t sure off of what. She jumped in my backseat and immediately began crying telling me she needed help. I asked her where she needed to go and she replied that she did not care that she was trying to run away from the dragon she has been chasing for a week!!! I was very emotional to see this young beautiful girl out of her mind. So I took her to my house She ate half my refrigerator and drank three 2 liter sodas and a gallon of milk. I put her in a cold shower and gave her benedryl to calm her down. Finally after two hours she told me she was on a heroine binge and had been high for 5 days straight nobfood no sleep no friends. I couldn’t stand to see her like this. My question is can I give her suboxone strip when she wakes up?? I have never seen anyone in this condition before and never have I dealt with a heroin addict. I am confused and just want to help. She asked me not to call authorities or her family. What can I do??

You had a lot of useful information however, you are incorrect about Tramadol. Tramadol IS an opiate and a narcotic! It is addictive and withdrawals can be terrible!

Thx for the advice, I have try to do so twice and it went terribly wrong. I started vomiting and had diarrhea along with worse pain then the actual withdrawal. My friends are telling me to wait as much as possible even ro wait till I can’t take it no more. Ike I said both times I tried it went wrong. The first time I did it too soon. The second time I took my last hit. Edite going to sleep. In the morning I had the body aches, I waited probably 4 more hours after waking up. I took a small piece and felt a bit better so I thought I should take the full amount… oh my God it was the worse thing I have ever felt I felt into a major withdrawal along with uncontrollable vomiting and diarrhea I could not move because of the pain. Tomorrow I start on it and I’m just praying it goes well.
