how long does imodium take to work?

I have tried it. But I can say that it helped me right away. I have taken 4 mg as a start and 2 mg after each trip to the bathroom. Maybe you are not taking enough of it. But also do not overdo it. Do not take more then 16 mg a day. Check the label to see is it expired. If not then go to the doctor and ask for some other medication.

The medication should work in a two hours most! Since it didn’t in your case, I believe that you need to see your doctor as soon as possible. Maybe diarrhea is just a symptom of more complicated condition. Anyhow see with members of your family to help you in situation like this. And I know that a though to the water is making you sick but you must drink water to avoid dehydration.

You have got problems? Mine is coming out like mr whippy

Imodium works for me but it takes about 5 hours before it starts working. I have had to take up to 12 mg a day. However saying this I was gut shot in Vietnam so my system is not 100% normal. Drink plenty of water also.

It worked right away for me and I had diarrhea for 2 days as well. I went to the pharmacy at Walgreens and this what what the Dr. Said would work. Make sure you take 1 full dosage and that will take care of your problem. Good Luck

I have diarrhea which resolved yesterday with yogurt but it recurred after I ate greasy bread. Now, I have taken liquid immodium. I feel I m drhydrated. Can I drink gatoraDE half diluted with water. I m scared of getting my visits to the bathroom back.

Boil some white rice and eat it. Don't add anything to it.Just plain white rice will bind you up nicely.
