Hi I am 17 years old and my mom is taking me to get the pill Thursday because of my heavy and painful period. I'm not using it to prevent pregnancy. I want to go to camp on June 6 but I am due to start my period then. If I started the pill on Thursday, would I still have my period then? I can't go to camp while I'm on my period because it is so heavy and painful and bathrooms aren't always close by out there. I would really appreciate your answer! Thanks!
Hello...from my personal experience with the pill,( even though your not meant to do this really)...if I need to get rid of my period for any specific reason I take the pill and it will be gone in a day or 2 at the most. Hope this helps.
