Hi I'm 28 and just had mine out on July 5th. How is your recovery at this point? I am on day 7 and the right side of my throat feels like a knife jabbing followed by stinging. Hope you are doing better. This is really tough.

I'm 20 and just got my tonsils and adenoids taken out about 6 days ago 12/15/2016. The first couple days are always the easiest. Then day 3 it got worse. I haven't been able to eat, swallow my own spit or drink water. I was told that day 10 everything gets better. The pain goes down by a lot. For those who need some advice; buy some lollipops, it'll help keep your throat wet which will make the pain go down a little. 600 mg of ibuprofen after the 3rd day will help out so much. Buy some popsicles, ice cream. Stay away from fruits with seeds. DRINK LOTS OF WATER. The more fluids you get in u, the faster you heal. Hot showers help if your in a lot of pain as well.

I am 36 years old. I had my tonsils out 23 days ago. the pain does not last 14 days as they say!!! I'm just now getting to where I can go 12 hours without my pain meds. I'm finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel! for those considering doing this, it will get better. but go in with real expectations. just know you are going to be down a good month! it is worth it I believe as I had an abcess in one of my tonsils.

I am 51 and in the same exact boat. I'm so weak, I've been to the hospital 2 times for fluids. Feeling very depressed and in a lot of pain. Every time I even think of eating I get so nauseous. I've lost 30 lbs. Not good. LORD PLEASE HEAR MY PRAYER.
