well i am a 14 year old young lady and i was hit with the disease as well. i have cried once i found out it was a shocker. a week later i took eight tablets and my doctor told me not 2 have sex until 2 weeks after. but i did before 2 weeks. i wonder if i still have chlamydia. I'm scared. my vagina is not usual. it itches, burns sometimes. when i look in the mirror at my vagina it does'nt look normal. im scared. i wanna go 2 the doctor but i dont have a doctor anymore being that i recently moved to chicago. many time i wanted to go to the emergency room. but do you think they will check me out?
Yes, that's how I found out that I had it. I went in for pain and irregular bleeding. A few days later they called with the news. I know I got it from my cheating husband who I left in January, that means I've had it for possibly 2 years. And my wonderful boyfriend is having to get treated for it now, too. Go before you get someone else infected.
I had sex with my boyfriend about a month and a half ago-- I'm not proud to say this, but.... it was unprotected (twice). We live in different states and it was our first time having sex together. After a few days, I noticed what I thought to be a yeast infection, so I went ahead with Monistat, which usually clears up in a couple days. Throughout the three days of dosage I also started my period so I stopped using monistat, only to find out that after my period, I was still having the same itchy symptoms, just not as bad. A month passed by and we decided to see each other again. This time we had sex for a week using protection everytime. When he left to go back to his state again, I noticed bigger sypmtoms like the burning sensation when I peed, itchyness, and all of the above. I went to the doctor and he said I tested positive for chlamydia! I felt awful!!!!!!!!! I've had hpv before and had to clear it up in very uncomfortable ways. However, getting this disease only hurts more. I just don't know what to think. The guys says he had been checked with his last girlfriend and he was fine, however he had had sex with one girl after and it was protected. He believes that is who gave it to him.... I can't decide whether or not I want to stay with this person. My best friend thinks I should not-- but what if it was just an honest mistake. Afterall, I too had part in not using protection the first time.... and he wants a monogamous relationship, even though we are far apart--I'm just wondering how long it takes for a man to contract chlamydia? because if there is a way of knowing then I would know if he cheated on me within the month he was gone-- so confused, I don't know what to do-- he wants to come back next week , just to be supportive-- of COURSE we wouldn't have sex!!!!!!!! HELL NO! but .... I just don't know whether to stay with him or not... I know chlamydia is a "silent" disease, however it still kills me that I got it from him--

Hey i found out i got chlamydia and got treated for it, i got a double dose (4 tablets) taken all at once. But a week later i still have stuff floating around in my urine. I also recieved oral sex from my girlfriend to celebrate the one week being up. I am freaking out that I gave it to her some one please give me some reassurance or at least some info. My boyfriend had some issues with his testicles and went to get checked. We were both checked before we started sleeping together and were both clean. But this time, he came back with chlamydia. Which we couldn't understand, because neither of us have been sleeping with other people. And he asked me if I had went out with any of my male friends and drunk alot recently. Which I had. I called the so called friend up and he told me that the night in question, I had passed out and he had sex with me. And that yes, he had recently been treated for chlamydia. I didn't know he had sex with me that night, I was passed out, and I turned around and it took the c**p home to the man I love. I no longer drink with anyone but my boyfriend for this reason. Only, at this point, I don't know that our relationship is going to be ok. But, back to the chlamydia, we were both tested and treated. They gave us zithromax and said no sex for two weeks. The two week time period being for it to get in our systems and do it's job and so if one of us clears of it sooner, the other won't get it back. The zithromax we were given was two pink pills. They said it should do the trick. I hope this helps. Ladies, be careful who you drink with. Even those we trust could be a bad decision.

In early november i was told i had chlamydia and that my boyfriend had it as well. we both took the zithromax pills (two pills at one time) and i felt fine after. but my boyfriend (now ex...) still felt pain. he took another dose of zithromax and still felt symptoms. it is now early janrary and we bother just finished taking doxycycline for a week (2 pills a day) which was horrible causing stomach pains and vomiting in the morning for both of us. i feel perfectly fine now and he says there's a dramatic improvement with him too, however he still feels slight pain.

I would say it took less than 5 days for it to completely go away.

Sounds like your boyfriend has scaring in his bladder wall he needs to get an appointment with a urologist and have them check it out otherwise it will still feel uncomfortable with that slight pain for a long time. I know because that happened to me. A urologist would definitely help and know what to do to help his situation.
:-( I did something really stupid. I messed around with a guy (im a guy as well) and I gave him oral twice, and let him stick it in me, but after two or three minutes I made him stop. The next day he told me he had Chlamydia like two or three months ago, and he drank this drink the doctor gave him and in about a week or two, he said his symptoms were completely gone. Does anyone think I have it ?? I'm really nervous, but I don't know if I should be because of the duration it was since hes had it but he never went back to get it checked since his symptoms completely ended. Please, I need some advice. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO FIND OUT IF U HAVE CHLAMYDIA after the sexual act?? I didnt see that answered in any of the posts...

hi, i found out a few weeks ago that i had Chlamydia and i took 4 tablets for it all in the same day and they said that it will only take 7days for it to clear up but not to have sex for 7days or drink any alcohol for 7days! they never told me to go back to get re-tested just said i should go at least once a year to be tested!
I would advise anyone who has been infected to go and get retested regardless if they believe it is gone and have no symptoms. I myself had it and got treated for it but when i went back in 9 days and got retested my results showed i still had it. Maybe i went a little too early for it to completely remove it from my system but nevertheless get retested to be completely sure and to prevent yourself from passing it around.
