I want to share my experience on here.. it seems there was really not alot of info about exactly how I felt and how long it took to be treated.
I took 14 days of doxycycline.. 2 x 100 MG a day.. I have found that Doxy made me really sick, dizzy, and tired / exhausted while I was on it and even about a week after I finished.
I still had minor symptoms.. I did a little research and found that Trich and Chlamydia can run hand in hand. So I went back to the doctor, and I asked him to give me the 1 gram of Zithromax, as well as 2 Grams of Flagyl for the Trich.. I took both.
I felt terrible for 3 days.. both of which.. in their dose can really jack up your body, I was dizzy, tired, and I just kept drinking water and working out and laying around.
I really started improving after the 4th day... I really think the Trich meds were what helped alot, and after about another 10 days, I am pretty sure I have no symptoms.. but I am still a little mentally worried about it.. so I have been treading lightly.. and from what I read,
just like any bad infection.. especially in an area that is as sensitive as what we are dealing with, it isnt uncommon for your body to take a month to get over the meds / the infection / and get back to reality.
Hope this helps everyone, as I was as scared and freaked out as anyone reading this... The zithromax treatment is what I would recommend in the future.. so much easier than taking 2 pills a day for 14 days.. and if you read anything about the doxycycline.. the side effects really are brutal.. depression and anxiety are very common side effects of that drug.. and when you are already worried about all the consequences of your actions.. this was a scary thing for me..
but I am currently 10 days after zithromax, and 8 days after the flagyl, and 10 days after finishing the course of doxy... and I have been regaining energy, and feeling much better every day.

at the heavy dosages taken.. it can take about 7-10 days for the zithromax to be out completely / flagyl 4-6 days / Doxy half of the length of time perscribed.... 14 days = another 7 it will be working.

The same thing happened to me. I had sex with my boyfriend on may 26 wich was the last time we did it. He got locked up on may 27 and i dint do nothing with no one. Then around june 22 i cheated on him with another guy i regret it so much. Then i went to get checked because i started getting a lot of smelly colored discharge and itching and when i went to get checked the drs said i had Bacterial Vaginitis so he gave some antibiotics to cure it. then about a week later they send me a letter so iwent and they tell me i have chlamidya! But they the nurse checked my record i was clean the last time i went to get checked for bacterial vaginitis wich was on may so the guy i had cheated on gave it to me. They gave me azithromycin 1gm powder and said to take it all in one drink. So i did and had a terrible diareah right away but its been about 2days already since i took it and now when i go use the bathroom it burns and that use to not happen..im worried that the powder they gave me might not work fast enough. By boyfriend gets out in 16 more days and im afraid that its not going to go away by the time he comes out because i dont want him to know i cheated and got chlamidya. I hope the powder takes it away before he gets out, because i dont want to end my relationship with my boyfriend of 5yrs! :-( Ugh..
FOR EVERYBODY: DO NOT SELF MEDICATE. if you happen to have gonorrhea and chlamydia take 500mg of zithromax twice a day that makes it it 1 gram a day for 5 to 7 days, or take an injection of rocephin 500mg IM vial plus 100 mg of doxycycline twice a day. gonorrhea most of the times comes along with chlamydia. again see a doctor for better medication DON'T SELF MEDICATE.
hey my name is chansis and its my first time having chlamidya and im so confused the i got it. because my boyfriend says he didn't cheat so i don't now what to belive. so is there a way that you can find out how i got this std? because there is more then just having sex that you can get it. :'(

I found out yesterday that I could possibly have it. I had taken the 4 Zithromax and 3 hours later was covered in hives. I didn't know I was allergic to ANYTHING. I took 2 benadryl. Today, I just got back from the emergancy room because I was in so much pain and hives, and I felt really hot. It was a throbbing cramping feeling. I think I am allergic. Hmmm

fiance does not contract it, but I'm thankful it's a curable disease.
I have no clue how I got it, but we've done research, and I believe

not give anyone your information.
My man is going to planned parenthood soon to see if he has it.

i started having sex about 2 years ago, the person i lost my virginity to was the only person i had unprotected sex with, we dated for 4 months, ive been with my boyfriend now for quite some time, i was diagnosed with chlamydia a week ago, and found out that ive had it the whole time i was sexually active, but i didnt have any symptoms. i gave my partner chlamydia and we're both being treated. i got 4 pills of Azithromycin and took them all at once, i experienced horrible stomach pains afterwards. how long will it take to cure the STD?

I was tested positive for Chlamydia and i took Zithromax, but the next day i was having sex and the condom ripped while it was inside of me.
Does this mean that the Zithromax will not work????? I still have hope that it will work because the doctor told me it can take up to 6 days for the Chlamydia to go away.. but i dont know.. :S

Hello Everyone, back in 2007 I was in a love relationship with my boyfriend who is now my child's father. A couple months before I found out I was pregnant I had cheated on him with a guy I met at a party and later found out that I had Chlamydia. I never told my boyfriend that I cheated because I thought that whatever he doesn't know will not hurt him. It turns out that I had to tell him so he could get treated and that so we don't pass the disease back and forth. After I told him what I did our relationship was never the same. He no longer trusted me, even though I apologized over and over again. That I was sorry and that I would never do anything like that ever again. Not to sound like I was blaming people but my mother and I got into a physical fight and kicked me out of my own apartment where I let her stay with me because she had no where to go. So therefore I was drinking my problem away that night and I cheated. I should have just went to my boyfriends house but I wanted to drink. I know it's no excuse, but I just need to get this stuff off my mind and not have so much regrets. So anyway through out my whole pregnancy I went through hardships with my child's father. He constantly accused me of cheating and that our baby wasn't his. He even cheated to get back at me. We somehow stayed together for the whole pregnancy and when the baby was born he knew it was his because the baby looked exactly like him. So I didn't have to call maury (lol). We still had major trust issues in our relationship which led us to break up. Since then we were always on and off. The problem that I face now is a deja vu of the past because last year I caught Chlamydia again and gave it to my child's father again. It only gets worse on New years I had unprotected sex and today I just found out I have Chlamydia AGAIN! Three times the charm and I believe it or not I gave it to my baby's father again. I don't know what it is with me..LIKE WHY?? just my luck I guess. I should have told my baby's father I slept with someone else but I didn't think I had anything. I should not even be sleeping with my baby's father. We've been broken up for how long already. I should also be more careful. I'm one who learns the hard way because I am a stubborn. Anyway I just need to let this out...and I just had diarrhea after taking those azithromycin doses for Chlamydia. Way to much information I know. So I hope it still cures the Chlamydia.
I found out I had chlamydia a summer before going to college in the fall. I got treated and the lady told me to wait until i was retested in order to find out if it was gone. And sweety your seventeen just go, and tell the people you dont want your parents to know. Im from south Carolina and we have a "ladybug" system. They take your cell phone number, and dont take your address. they only contact you and your parents cant know anything.
I just found out today that i had it im a female who is bi and i caught it from another girl.... I had four pills to take they made meh real sick......... Well all i can say is be careful who u have sexual contain with cuz all sex is not gud sexy

Well Yuh Guys I Need Some Help Here. Last Summer I Got Chlamydia By This One Guy. I Went To The Doctor And He Give Me A Pill He Said That It Will Take Off. The Only Reason I Went To The Doctor Was Because My Belly Was Hurting Bad And Thats What They Told Me. Since Then I Never Talked to That Guy Or Did AnyThinq With Him When I Found Out. Naw This Yr I Found A Grate Man I Love Him Very Much And Im 3 Months Prego And I Went To The Doctor And Got A PAP Done. But Then The Doctor Told Me I Tested Positive For Chlamydia Again Idk How I Got It Back If I Got Trated. He Gave Me And My Husband The Pill. But Im Scared That It May Hurt My Unborn Baby. Somebody Plz Help Or Give Me Advice. Thankk Yuhh.
Can someone please help me!? i got treatment for chlamydia sbout 5/6 days ago, the same happend and i had bad tummy and then terrible diahrea! BUT last night me and my partner didnt have sex, but we did other things and after i had his fingers in my mouth! stupidly i now know! could i have it still!? and given it back to myself!? how do i know?
