Hi, I am worried for my kid. He is 5 years old and he is having some vision problems. We are going to the doctor tomorrow but I would just like to get to know the situation a bit better. I know of the basic conditions, but I have heard of some additional, more complicated ones. How serious is astigmatism?
This condition happens when the curve of the eyeballs is not as it should be. It is not a light problem, but it is also not that serious one. It can be fixed with the specially made glasses, although I am not so sure that it can be fixed with lenses. I have been wearing lenses couple of years ago and back then astigmatism could not be dealt with like that.
