How to Get Rid of Fordyce Spots

Hey guys, I'm 17 an have had these spots since I was about 12-13. At first there were only a couple and as I got older they got worse and worse. I used to try popping and squeezing them, but it didn't do anything and sometimes was just painful. I really thought I had some sort of STD. Finally when I was 15 I manned up and went to the doctor. He told me it was fordyce and that there really is no treatment: I was relieved to know that it was harmless, but a little depressed to know they were there to stay. I have had the same girlfriend since I was 14 and until I was 16, the furthest we went was kissing despite the fact she wanted to do more. I was too scared because of my spots and refused to do anything out of the fear that she'd think I was gross or freak out. Finally I just manned up one day and told her, and she didn't care. From what I've learned from most people is that most girls don't really care about these spots, lots of guys have them! Some maybe worse than others, I have them pretty bad. But if you just man up and go about your life and don't let these spots control you, life is normal! My sex life with my girlfriend is great now and the spots are nothing to worry about.

wow, erm im not quite sure what to say really, ive never spoken about this to anyone.

ive had these since i was 12/13 and they got me down, like, real bad, i was so scared because my natural reaction was to think they were some form of STD. (even though i have never done anything with a girl)

im now 15 and ive still got them, but reading these posts, i cannot tell you how much you guys have helped me. thanks to your bravery in speaking out about it, i now know im not alone so thank you so much. you guys are the best!

I am 17 (18 in a month) I too first noticed these when I was 12/13. I was sh*t scared and I too was down and always was too p***y to go to the doctor. I was relieved when I was 16 and diagnosed myself. Please please men don't let it get the best of you! i've got a pretty sever case of them and I have been with about 8 girls (1 long term relationship) and only 1 of them ever asked me about them (just so happened to be the long term relationship) and she was completely fine. 

Don't be afraid, its just life and there is nothing you can do about it. Enjoy life and just remember there is a lot of lads out there that have worsts sh*t than this.....

I feel like I can open up to my wife of 11 years, had them since I was 17 after I caught poison Oak on my member... long story... I thought they were scars cuz of timing and place. But as these years have went by, a vasectamy later I was starting to question if indeed the bumps I seen today was still those "scars" from the rash. Looked up bumps on my penis and here came the fordyce spot images. FINALLY, I knew what they were indefinatly! Plan on having a detailed talk with the wife using these stories and pics so I can crawl outta the sexual shadows. I'm a 15 year old boy and I have Fordyce spots aswell. As I have looked through about every Fordyce spot forum on the internet they comes to the same conclusion that the solution is different person to person, but even so the general consensus is as follows:

-Don't wank as much. Once a week tops, be gentle and use lube or at least try not to aggravate the skin

-get oxy maximum daily face it seems to be working pretty well for me! instead of making them disappear it  makes them less noticeable to touch, which lets be honest is why we want them gone, then even if for some reason the girl does think it's weird she should barely be able to feel them! Then they just look like pigmentations of the skin. Or so I hope;) makes your shaft feel 'chubby' I guess:P

-Finally just ignore it, girls don't apparently mind nearly as much as I and I assume other boys out there think

i turned 14 last tuesday and i have had these spots since i was 11-12 and i thought i had picked up a disease but was scared to tell anyone about it but only today i had searched up penis sopts and i fordyce on google images and realised i had the same once i was glad to find them so soon because i had a hard time when i wanted to get physical with girls. i am so happy that i found this thread because i needed to know what it was desperately and because who wants to go to a doctor or your parents thinking you have a disease and them thinking you've been f***ing all these girls aha thanks so much thats all my problems off my shoulder :)

Hey, I've got the little sh**s on my penis and very few on my scrotum, I'm not fused by them, but a few people have mentioned they have appeared on the mouth, do they spread there or if I haven't got them now am I fine for life? It's just I'm 16 and I've explained them to my GF, I don't want to have to explain them to everybody that looks at my face.

Wow glad to see other guys my age have it. I thought i had a std and was going down hill. Glad i did reserach. Havent gone to a doctor or blood test but all these pictures i saw are completely identical to what i have. I have alot on my scrotum and shaft area. So glad its normal.

I have them too, I got them when I was about 12 and I'm now 16. I used this Cream that my doctor told me to use. It has helped so much, it was very bad, now you can barely see them. I recommend going to see your doctor, they helped me!!!!

they normally get less or go all together once puberty is over.

im 17 in a month and ive had them for a while, ive read up a lot abouth them. what causes them is "sebum" a kind of sweat apparently! im 16 so theres nothin I want more than a nice blow job but the spots are preventing me from this. ive been with a few girls and as long as you wear a condom they aren't too noticeable. my advice is to save your pubes and keep your sack and shaft cleen, then use a normal spot scrub, spray with an antiperspirant then use a moisturising cream. this burns like the devils got hold of youe penis and pours lava on it. enjoy

Can a girl get Foydce spots on her lip if she gives oral sex when a man has foydce spots? And i know they wont go away but is there any creams / lotions that i can use to reduce the appearance of them? This is urgent ! Thanks

hi, no they can be passed on like that as all they are is like normal teenager acne.
