OK. Embarrassing. I admit that. I'm a big girl. And yet... my lipstick always ends up on my teeth, somehow, even if I perfectly applied it to start off with.

Does anyone else have this problem? Or even better, is there someone who used to have this problem and who then found a solution? I don't do anything weird that would obviously cause this transfer, but it happens. So what am I doing wrong? Do I need to apply fixing spray or something?

Please help me out because I want to be able to wear lipstick without being an embarrassment to myself!

Well, I use the old finger in the mouth tip. So that's basically, I line my lips with a neutral colour or one that looks like my lippy if I have one, then apply the lipstick carefully, bottom lip first then fill in the top lip, then when I am happy just stick my finger in my mouth to get the excess off. Works pretty well on the whole. I do check if there's any on my teeth and if there ain't, I'm good to go, LOL, none magically appears later on. I don't use fixing spray or nothing and have never heard about that for lipstick.

Aaaah, that. I read something quite a while ago that prevented me from ever having the problem of getting lipstick on my teeth again! It's such a routine now that I barely remember, LOL. So what I do is first apply concealer, then lipstick. After that I do the old finger trick, then blot my lipstick with tissue paper. Yep, it will fade. So then I top it all off by applying lipstick again, but only to the outer edges of my lips if that makes sense? So yeah, I read this on the web. Can't remember where, honestly, but I do assure you that it works. Give it a chance and you'll soon forget you ever put lipstick on any other way!

I have noticed that actual lipsticks are quite hard to apply well. They are quite big, too big to apply your lipstick as carefully as you would ideally like to. And more comes off than you may want. Using a lipstick brush helps solve this problem. You can start off with less and apply it carefully, even leaving the very inner lips free from lipstick. After that, there is the tissue paper trick to get rid of any excess that you may still have applied. I find this works well and never get lipstick on my teeth.

You are talking about lipstick on your teeth. I can guarantee you that it has never happened to me. Listen to my simple tip and pearly whites without traces of lipstick can be yours for the rest of your life, as well! Special offer today. I will give you the tip for free! It is simple but revolutionary: DON'T USE ANY LIPSTICK.

Hahahaha. I don't ever use lipstick myself because I'm pretty clumsy with the stuff. I do sometimes use tinted lip balm and I have not noticed it getting on my teeth, like ever. Granted some people really want lipstick but in my experience it adds nothing to life.

Embarrassing? Hardly - I am pretty sure it has happened to each and every one of us, except Pickle of course, LOL, though your title "always on my teeth" makes me conjure images of vampire-like blood red teeth. I think that lipstick getting on your teeth is ultimately a sign of you having used too much lipstick, or having applied it wrong. Yep, those brushes can put an end to the problem. Even using a tiny bit of concealer on your lips before applying lipstick helps it stick better for longer though, so there's something else to try. I try to stay away from the corners of my lips and from the very middle. Lining your lips first helps you determine where to put it exactly.
