This is interesting because yesterday I came across somebody else who has this same problem. We have both had it for years. Whenever I get hungry, my left tonsil/adenoid area on only the left side begins to swell, sometimes to the point where I have left sinus pressure and a blocked feeling in my left ear. Once I eat to the point I feel satiated, the swelling abates. There is no soreness. What is the physiology behind what is going on here? My GP and the ENT (through endoscopic exam) have found nothing unusual. What are your suggestions?
