Back in December my husband hit the top of his head on a sheet of metal and went unconcious for several seconds. I was not there when it happened and he told me it wasn't that bad. But ever since then he shakes his head (like a quick, jerky nod) off and on. I can tell it's getting worse because most recently he has started hunching up shoulders and clicking his teeth together as well as shaking his head. And also he has bad mood swings. He goes into bouts of frustrated anger and it's getting to the point where I don't know if I can handle it anymore. I keep begging him to let me take him to the hospital but he refuses. If there is bleeding or swelling in his brain how much longer will he last without treatment?
It sounds like your husband may have a concussion. These head injuries can cause odd behavior and mood swings. I don't know how you can get your husband to the hospital. Perhaps call your local hospital and ask them what can be done.
