I am on Suboxone and can't afford my prescription

thats because when people are on the streets they sell thier soul because thats the disease but when theyre on suboxone theyre clean and clear headed and would feel guilty doing bad things to get theyre medicine, because thats what its called you know medicine jerk!!!!!

Just email me ok and I swear you will benefit greatly from this.  I've been there and it's a terrible place to be.  I was addicted to Oxycodone for 10 years and went through detox at Town and Cointry Hospital, Tampa, FL. (you can look up their program online, it's wonderful and it save my life) I was prescribed suboxone for maintenance.  I know it can be expensive. I needed help with the cost of my subs as I suddernly lost my unemployment just last month. I called everywhere and everyone in Tampa, charities, hospitals, assistance programs, friends, relatives. No one could help. I finally got an extension on the assistant program I was on for a year through the manufacturer. I had to beg and plead and grovel and listen to a lecture that made me feel like s**m of the earth but he exended me. Now I have a dr. appointment Monday and I need $80 to get my last prescription to taper off completely. Maybe we can help each other in this situation. Your cost for the subs you need I promise will be zero. That is if you can get to my doctor with me.  I will take you to my dr. as a walk in and she will see your wife and the first visit will be free.  Then she will give you a voucher for you first prescription at no cost to you and then your wife will replace me as a recipient for the assistance program because this will be my last fill and I will be completely weaned and clean off of all opiates.  She will at the time of my last visit have an opening for the program because she can only have 3 people at a time.   Once she refers you to the program, you will receive your subs for zero cost for 1 year.  Your approval should come through by your next appointment.  Office visits are $80 and you only have to see her every other month because she gives you one refill.  She is wonderful but you must be from Florida to participate in the assistance program through her.  Don't worry as this is an honest to goodness offer to help.   With you as my referral I will  be reimbursed for my appointment cost and I can give my family some gifts for christmas.  We are helping each other in this situation do you see. If your not interested maybe there are others who would be interested.  I live in tampa and my email is

I definetly agree...I spent so much money on Opana's and lortabs to just not be sick from withdrawals..it makes me sick. I have been on Suboxone for 11 months and 21 days......I am down to 1/4 of a film a day..I have restless legs and difficulty sleeping but what I dont have is GUILT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is worth everything to me. I am scared of withdrawal most definetly...and getting depressed from it, but I have the foresight to knpow I NEVER want to use again. Anyone canget clean if they really want to change..iyt is not easy...it sucks..but Im almost a year clean and very happy to look at my daughter as a mother not a junkie!

Good for you! I was on heroin for about 4 years, then methadone for 6 years, now suboxone for almost 2 years. I wish I'd never heard of methadone or suboxone! Withdrawing from heroin takes about a week, the others can take months. I'm taking 3/4 of a strip/day and hopefully will be down to 1/2 a strip by next month. I was told that suboxone withdrawals were not too bad but that is BS! On the other hand, Methadone and Suboxone have allowed me to change my life in positive way. I got on Methadone just a few months before I got pregnant and now I have a beautiful little boy who I am financially, physically, and emotionally able to provide for, a fantastic jobs with great benefits that pay 100% for my subs, I regained my great relationship with my family who finally TRUST me again, and my parents are so proud of me. I'm afraid that this addiction will eventually take over my whole life and I'll lose everything. It sucks!

I'm also in this situation. My medication cost $430 a month plus a $200 doctor visit every month. i have a husband who works extremely hard but with 2 teenage children its impossible to keep this up. The best prescription card I have found gives you $50 off. I'm not sure our family can keep this up... According to any medical funding we make to much money to get any assistance yet I'm struggling to feed my kids. This is crazy!!!!!!!!!! Please let me know if you find a better way of handling this. I feel and understand your pain.

Yeah im in the exact same boat bro, i paid exactly 167.72 the other day when i filled my script for 30-8mg strips a month. On top of all this i have to pay 300 dollars a month for my doctors apptointments for all this and i have what i thought to be a pretty decent insurance plan. Nor I or my generous family can afford to help me on this and i dont plan on getting a third job just to pay for prescriptions and appointments. On the other hand though it is much cheaper per month than my Oxy Contin habbit was but im still going broke on this. I thought the point was to retrieve your life not to put all your hard earned money into a pharmecuticle company. Is there any other discount cards or state or federal hmo plans or anything the suboxone company can do for me? I mean this is just ridiculous, is anybody with me on this???. Im going to end up in a box just trying to stay sober.

hey eric you should try switching off the tablet suboxone to the sublingual film suboxone . there are many discounts out there offered for the film because theryre trying to phase out the pills. Also rxRelief has a decent card and an up to 75% discount for just suboxone alone. Also i would suggest trying to get on medicaid or some kind of state sponsored insurance. Hope this helps.

Also, i know it's not much, but the manufacturer has a coupon card for $50 off the price of your prescription or copay. You can use the same card every month. It's valid until June 2013 and they always have new ones when they expire. This works great for me because my copay is $40 so I don't pay anything for the medication, just $40 per month for the appointment. The flip side is that the prescription has to be approved by my insurance company every 6 months. I know that one of these days, they're going to stop approving it and I'll be stuck. Most pharmacies will let you partially fill the script, so you just get however many you can pay for.

 and will only work if you have no insurance .my ins does not cover it     medicaid.

My doctor has them and gives them out to his sub patients.

You are an id**t. If you are having trouble with suboxone it's because you don't really want to get or stay clean, OR YOU ARE JUST TOO DUMB TO USE THE MEDICINE CORRECTLY. For people WHO DO WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO ON SUBOXONE the success rate is nearly 100%. Quit poisoning others with your incorrect information, like 'suboxone is an opiate'. Do some research, m***n, there is NO opiate in suboxone. Your post could really be harmful to those of us who use suboxone like we are supposed to - as a maintenance drug - and know that you are supposed to use it only as directed, and that you have to do other things to maintain a clean and sober lifestyle. Suboxone is NOT a short term fix, a ready-made solution or anything else easy. It is a long term program. Also, it is scientifically impossible that suboxone could ever be addictive to anyone in any situation. If you're feeling withdrawals after cutting down on suboxone, it's because your brain chemistry/synapses are still messed up from the chemical changes brought about by taking opiates for a long period of time so, in essence, the withdrawals you're feeling are because you are still addicted to pain pills, and didn't TAKE SUBOXONE LONG ENOUGH. People - PLEASE don't listen to this joker! I was on suboxone for 5 years after nearly a decade of dependency upon oxycontin/heroin. I have my life back, suffer no withdrawals, and am better than ever. Who would you rather be - me, or the loser who posted this?  Next, these people will be saying that the government sells suboxone to keep people addicted...parranoid and delusional, much?
