Wow, what a heartless reply. You do know you are one of the lucky ones. Many addicts don't have bills because they don't have homes. They haven't the resources to go to detox and many get their drugs by stealing and stealing and stealing.

It's sickening that when a person wants to get sober and there are legal aids out there such as suboxone to help them that it is not available for free. You would imagine that in this nation with the drug epidemic that they would be handing it out on street corners. As opposed to street heroin the ingredients are also known and chances of death due to overdose or "bad drugs" is also minimized.

From what I understand suboxone enables a person to feel well enough to work and get a grip on their lives. No, it should not be a long-term solution but this is a very effective short-term one that is obviously only available to those who have the money or have relatives or friends left that will help.

You should be very proud of yourself for your own accomplishment but judging others is not exactly the way this deal works. I've seen people wean off of suboxone the way they are supposed to. Addiction is a horrible thing and to me, the main thing is keeping the individual alive.

You obviously have no idea of how it is on the streets and how it is to go to a pharmacy. When people say they spend $1000 a month on a heroin habit a month doesn't necessarily mean it is $1000 cash and $1000 cash at one time. It could mean "sexual favors" or stealing items and giving them to the dealer in exchange for the drug. Or stealing from stores and bringing the merchandise back for a refund. Plus, you have forgotten that when you go to the pharmacy and the clinic, you have to have the entire amount of money up front that very day. On the streets, you are buying smaller amounts of the drug at at a time ... so it it easier to pay $30 for pill today, or a $10 bag of heroin the next day. Addicts on the streets are constantly struggling all day everyday to come up with ways or money to get their fix for the "day" not for the "month"!!

Proud of you!! I hear too many saying it is just a substitute, but I know what a difference is in maintaining recovery and my active addiction. They are world's apart !!! Maintaining my recovery is definitely more positive, successful, healthy, just in every way better. I don't care if I remain on the lowest dose indefinitely if need to,

Hello, I am in the same boat I am paying 400 per month for only one film per day. The clinic fee is 325 so that's 725 dollars per month plus they make me get an annual blood test which costs 800 dollars.War on drugs and the opiod epidemic my butt. Government does not care. But I have found that you can use the blink health app or website which saves a lot of money on generic drugs.. I have switched to generic tablets because I can get 30 tablet per month for 130 dollars. I think the more you get the higher the discount. Although it is up to the individual pharmacist wether or not they will accept a discount for a controlled substance. So you may have to shop around and make sure. Good rx works pretty well too but blink is easier because you pre pay and then just pick up your prescription

I find this to be so true. when I was on street drugs I never cared about much of anything but obtaining the drugs. So I would spend my entire paycheck or pawn things or get drugs fronted to me. I was always in debt. But when you get on suboxone or methadone and you see things more clearly you start caring about your bills and your life so you worry more about doing the right things and managing your money. Also when in treatment you cant just say front me or wait til I get the money you have to be on time and you have to pay the money to comply with treatment and such
