It feels like a lump in my throat.
When I don't think about it, it is gone.
But when I think about it, I feel it.
I can't get my mind off of it, too..
Will the lump feeling ever go away? How long in estimation?
How do I get through this? Please help! I am only 11 years old.. :-(

I first felt a lump in my throat when I had to give a speech in front of other students. I was only 10. I guess I must have had a panic attack. I think shy people are more susceptible to panic attacks. I felt a lump in my throat at other times whenever I was nervous or uncomfortable in certain social situations. If you can't physically feel the lump with your hand, your problem is probably psychological. Talk to your school nurse or school psychologist for a solution.

Well this certainly can be psychological problem. But when does it really occur, just when you think of it, or i comes and goes from time to time?
You are very young and you should talk to your parents about this. And they need to take you to see a doctor. It is crucial for you to be open with your parents. They are the one that will help you best as they can.

Hose, maybe that could be it..
I was at the movies with my father.
I didn't really want to go, but ... XD
I wanted Milk Duds, too.
But I got them and wasn't up to them..
So I saved them for later..
When the movie was over, I ate a few.
When I swallowed one, there was a tiny peice that got stuck in my throat for a second. I paniced, but it disolved..
Maybe it left a scratch mark? Or maybe I just kept freaking out because of the feeling it left..?

Well scratch mark is possible. And maybe that is the thing that is causing your problem. You throat will heal in matter of days, but you need to watch what are you eating. Does it burn when you drink something cold?

I think that you might actually still be freaking out a little because it feels like you might've choked. Believe it or not, sometimes you can convince yourself that there's something wrong with you when there actually nothing is. I know that sometimes people can fear choking on something so much that they actually start choking on things, and it sounds like it's a similar situation for you. Let us know how you are feeling today, okay?

What about your tonsils? Are they ok? Sometimes feeling something in your throat can be related with tonsils. Do you have swollen tonsils from time to time? How are you doing now? Are you feeling better? Please keep us posted on your condition.

Actully, I went to the doctor. He said I needed to go see a GI because I still had acid reflux, and they found out it is the acid.
I am ok :-D

Well it is nice to hear that you are ok and that was only acid. It is good that you haven't had any scratches from eating. They can sometimes be very problematic.
Also it is very nice of you that you have shared the solution of your problem with us. If someone else have similar problems or symptoms it will be much easier for them whet they read this topic.

That makes a lot of sense then! I'm glad to hear that it isn't something more serious. Can you let us know how it goes with your GI? When are you supposed to go see him?

If you still have acid maybe you can go to Food and Beverages forum

Maybe you can find some diet that can lower your acid or you can find out what tipes of food you can and can not eat.
I'm just wondering if your doctor told you that you need to go to recheck yourself after one period of time?
