Hi, ever since I remember, I had a problem with sleeping. I am sleepy and tired the whole day, and in the evening I need 30 seconds to fall asleep. Do you know what could be causing this disorder?
Hi, I’ve had the same problem for the last couple of months. All this time, I have been tired and sleepy, and even five coffees a day can’t help me stay awake. A friend recommended me aerobic exercises, because they fill you with energy and strength. I tried, but it wasn’t working for me. I even started eating healthy food, with lot of fibers, fluids and vitamins, but I’m still tired and sleepy all the time. I went to doctor and she told me that I would ruin my life if continue spending my life in sleeping. She told me to come on Monday to prescribe me some medicines. I can’t wait to see the results. I hope I will have a normal life again, and that I won’t be sleepy and tired all the time.
I am 28 years old and I feel like I am wasting away. I am constantly tired and unmotivated even when I get 8 hours of sleep. My eyes burn all day long and I feel like I have not rested at all. I dream every night and for what seems to be all night. I hate even dreaming because I feel like it does not let my mind of body rest. Is this a disorder? Is there anything I can do? I am too young to be this run down all the time!! Anyone, Please Help!! :-(
I face the same situation... Lately I have been trying to adjust this clock. I sleep when I feel like sleeping, when I feel like I need rest (usually in evenings). Then at night I do my work like cleaning etc rather than try to sleep and lying on bed, thinking, dreaming and wasting time. Dont worry about next day.
There are several things that may be causing this. Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia, Depression, Thyroid and Diabetes to name a few.
Has your doctor ordered a blood test to check for thyroid and diabetes?
Also sleep patterns and not going into a deep sleep can cause you to be tired.
Hope this helps.

Imagine I'm 18 and feel just like you guys but the doc has tested everything including my black MOLD I have been living with. and I eat health and take vitamines
I just turned 30, and for the last two years I've been suffering from the same symptoms. I have a healthy diet, low fat, moderate carbs, minimal processed foods, and a low consumption of alcoholic drinks (about 8-10 beers/month, 2-4/night). I also keep a steady sleep schedule with an average of 6-7 hours/night and exercise regularly 5-6 hours/week. None of which seems to improve on my almost constant feeling of being tired. By almost, some days I need little to no caffeinated drinks to keep me going, others I'm consuming 10-12 cups just to get me through the day, and have little trouble falling a sleep later on that night. My last physical came out clean, thyroid was in check and my cholesterol was better than the previous year. I mentioned this fatigue issue to my doctor, and the only thing she had to say was whether I was feeling depressed or not; I answered no. I have not been able to relate my feeling tired with any outside physiological/psychological influences, which leaves me to believe it has something to do with my inner workings.
I due for my yearly physical, was wondering what I might ask the doctor this go around in hopes of correcting this problem.

I am 18 years old and for as long as I can remember I have not once woken up feeling like I have actually slept. I wake up feeling worse and I can hardly get out of bed. I dream all night and it seems to be getting more vivid and realistic. Sometimes I have a hard time depicting whether it or not it really happened. I toss and turn and talk and make noises in my sleep. Often times I have such a hard time falling asleep because my eyes just feel like they cant hold still and my body will tense up. I wake up frequently. I am always tired and worn out no matter what I do. It's to the point where I just dont know what to do. I am depressed because I do not want to feel this way anymore, I want to go out and have fun but I am too tired. I have anxiety all the time over stupid stuff and it seems to just get worse. Finally i asked my doctor and he gave me anti-depressants and told me to see a psychiatrist. I did and was diagnosed with anxiety, depression, ADHD and OCD. I took ritalin for a few months but made me so sick and miserable. I weighed 125 when i started the pill and after the three months of taking it I was 90 lbs. I stopped and then finally just recently tried a new med. It helped somewhat. I can function enough to get by but still not where I want to be. Hoshimoto thyroidism runs in my family and I keep asking my doc but my blood tests always come back normal. I dont know what to do anymore. I feel like I am taking these meds just to get by day to day but I feel I just do not have all these things. I also think I am hypoglycemic because if I do not eat every couple hours I get really sick and shaky and feel like I am going to pass out. I have been so close to passing out and my doc still doesnt seem concerned. I feel like there is just one underlining cause of it but I cannot get my doc to listen to me. I have been seeing the same doc since I was a baby so I dont want to find a new one but i need someone to listen! What should I do?? Any suggestions on what is wrong with me?

Look into Vitamin D deficiency- most multivitamins nowadays don't give you enough. Unless you drink 8 cups of milk or eat 7 ounces of salmon a DAY (or taking 1 TSBP codliver oil that has vitamin D in it) you aren't getting enough Vitamin D.
I had the exact same symptoms- no matter how much I slept, no matter how well I ate (I eat very healthy), and so on, I was not awake. I had my vitamin D levels checked and it was 21ng/ml. My doctor didn't say anything because it wasn't flagged in the system but I ended up finding out that a person's vitamin D level should be more like 50 ng/ml. Even if you take a multivitamin it may not have enough D in it- now new research says you should take 800-1000 IU's a day, not the standard 400 IU's. I am currently doing a vitamin D therapy where I take 50,000 IU's once a week and then the rest of the week I take a multivitamin. It's been three weeks and my energy is through the roof! I will be retested after 12 weeks and then if the level is fine I'm okay and I will continue to take a multivitamin along with a second Vitamin D plus Calcium vitamin (you have to take D and calcium together to absorb it).
Don't neglect, Vitamin D is actually a hormone and if you ignore it you can develop neurological disorders. Research is now showing that multiple sclerosis may be linked to vitamin D deficiency.
