the pain is quite localized and only hurts in about a two inch by two inch area and hurts like its an inch under my skin and is a sharp stabbing pain. i wouldn't say that its an unbearable pain, because it goes away after maybe 20/30 seconds, but it definitely catches me off guard and i usually have to stop what I'm doing. It mostly happens when I'm laying in bed and i have to strain my side to turn over.
I'm 6'3" and about 285, I play college football (O line) and lift weights basically everyday and I'm not sure if i should lift through this or if thats only gonna make it worse. it does start to hurt somewhat during my major lifts like squat, bench, and deadlift (only weights within 25/35lbs of my max though), but not as bad as at night if i have to roll over. I had friend who had an ulcer that had to have surgery and i don't want to keep pushing it if thats what I'm experiencing. i don't think its appendicitis either because the pain isn't EXCRUCIATINGLY bad and its been happening for around 4 or 5 weeks now. I guess i should also mention that the pain hasn't really changed since i first started noticing it, i think it might possibly be more frequent and bit more painful, but i hadn't been paying attention to it because i figured it would go away
i would like to see a doctor about this but I'm currently still attending school and don't have access to car or anyway to get there (or money... remember college?? haha), unless this could turn into a serious problem, in which case I'm sure i could gets coach to take me.
i really want to figure WHAT THIS IS! and if it is going to turn into something worse if i ignore it. I believe i may have posted this before, but I'm not sure if it worked. So this is just to be safe.
Thanks, -Zac
