It can be aggravated by a number of things. Some feminine hygeine products, douches in particular, upset the natural pH balance. This can lead to the bacteria balance becoming upset.
Certain medications can also contribute to BV.
There is also a chance your partner is contributing. They, particularly if not circumcised, may have a yeast infection.
