I have very similar cases to those listed above. My lips become dry and I have terrible habit of picking the skin off of them. It is a disgusting habit but very hard to break. I begin to pick at them so much they begin to bleed. Yesterday while watching a movie, I picked at my bottom lip without even realizing it and it started to bleed. This morning I felt a blister coming on. The bottom left portion of my lip began to swell slightly in the area I picked and instead of scabbing it turned into a yellowish-white pus underneath the new skin that had formed. It is very sensitive and feels like a throbbing pain on the bottom of my lip. This has happened to me only once before and it is not herpes, but an infection from picking my lips too deep until it bleeds. Dirt probably my fingernails got into the area and infected it. I use hydrogen peroxide first to clean the area out. After a few minutes, I dab the area with rubbing alcohol to dry up the infection. I then cover it with vaseline so that NOTHING else can get in the sore until it can dry up. Sometimes cold sore ointment works, but the fastest way to clear it up is by drying up the area with the peroxide and alcohol. I hope this works for those who have the same issue. I know how painful it can be! All I can recommend for future prevention is to stop picking your lips!
Don't worry. I had been suffering from the same trouble. Now I have been relieved. I used Parachute's new summer variant. The mint extracts helped relieve me off the infection and coconut made my skin fair.

I did the exact thing, just I put a piece of ice in a wash cloth and let it sit for a little. When I took it off it ripped the yellowish / white scab off and now I don't know what to do.
