im a girl and i shaved down there yesterday morning so i could be smooth for my first time, at first i really liked it and while we were doing it it was totally fine and i had no red spots or anything, sometimes i would feel really painful stings but it was ok, but today it has been irritated all day and i have red spots and in some parts its kinda swollen, and i wanted to do it with my boyfriend again but i didnt want him to see me like this... how long is it going to take until the rash goes away? and what can i do next time so i can have it smooth for days so i don't have to worry about them all the time?
Well, shaving definitely is not the best option for you to get rid of the hair down there. That is because every time you shave you basically take the top layer of your skin with the razor – no matter how careful you are – and that is what causes all the irritation. But, for the situation you are in now, I think you should use some soothing cream, probably with aloe vera so that the skin calms down. Maybe for the future you should let the professionals take care of it – maybe a vaxing?
