Whatever, you're young and invincible right? Google your facts first.
It's scary that you call yourself a nurse while being ignorant to basic human anatomy and physiology.
Oh...maybe you're an LPN, or MedTech, CNA? Maybe YOU should do some Googling.
Anyhow I havn't seen the guy in an NA meeting for months, I am told he is back on the sh*t from emotional trauma and pain from losing the arm. I guess the point of this story is that its just as dangerous to inject pharmaseudicals not intended for injecting as it is to inject street drugs if not more dangerous. At least some street drugs are designed with the intent of injection. Also from what I'm lead to believe Injecting ritalin causes deterioration of lung tissue and cappilaries (the blood carries it to the lungs to be spread out to the rest of body) and will result in emphysema. In a study...it caused a non-fixable form of emphysema in 100 of patients that injected over the course of a couple months ( ). Not to mention the normal risks of injection such as stress on the pulmonary system, buildup and clogs in the veins from injecting stray matter, and diseases such as hepatitus, hiv, etc. Also keep in mind that by mixing a chemical in water in a spoon, who knows what bacteria, dust, pollen, etc. is getting drawn up and put right into the blood stream.
By directly injecting it there are several dangers. By injecting you are bypassing your body's natural defense systems for disease and infection. Your skin is there for a reason, to protect stuff from getting in your body. Also the saliva, digestive system, etc. protects you from stray matter when ingesting the drug. Be smart about stuff. No one is invincible.

Either way, don't do drugs. If you are anyways, make a appointment with your physician and ask him what is the safest way to do it.
Dr.H. I really hope English is not your first language! I'd be extremely worried if my physician spelt like you! Also, birk? Yea, yea dead bad and all, pretty sure you didn't post for a lecture though. I'm sure you've considered the consequences. I work in pharmaceuticals and for two months past the exp. on rit you should be fine, the effect will just be reduced.
vino it dos,nt thats why they shoot it you id**t.
To whom it may concern,
The drug may still go through your liver; however, it is not processed the same as if you ingest it. It would be a lot easier to solve medical problems and to treat individuals if it didn't matter how the drug was introduced to one's body. Please do not advise anyone in fields of practice in which you have little or no experience. This can not only misinform but could cause serious problems for those who trust your misguided advise. I don't mean to be harsh. I simply want serious questions/ issues like these to be handled and answered properly, even if they must be answered on a website like this.
I apologize for any rudeness in this reply, I mean no offense.
Thank you,
