I know this question is old but I have an answer (for me anyway). I LOVE coffee a lot but it started to make me barf every time I drank it. Like a guy wrote in one of the comments, it doesn't even digest, it comes out FAST. gross.. SO I believe it's from the ACID in the coffee as it brews. I started making ESPRESSO. You'd think that would be worse because it's so strong BUT, it brews really fast so acid doesn't have time to hang around in the coffee. It really cured the barfs. I have to doctor it because it's very strong.. I just hope somebody reads this and tries it... and then let me know... please?

I made my coffee in Keurig so any filters are out of question. It was a Gevalia coffee pod. I did use creamer but it's a non dairy variety. I am over 60 and can assure you I am not pregnant, not anymore lol; my kids are grown & gone. I didn't have this same experience with another pod so I assume there's something in the Gevalia. I use water to brew tea at home and no such reaction has ever happened with the tea. It's only coffee, and of a certain variety. Have no problems with milk, either

Dark coffee contains less acid than the lighter variety. Cold brewed coffee contains less acid too. This goes on my bucket list

It's just the acidity in the coffee. Sometimes even the caffeine can cause nausea and vomiting. I switched to a low acidity coffee and tried decaf and did not puke. Its a sacrifice but it worked for me. Good luck

I have the same issue. I can't drink coffee in the morning and literally throw up but can drink it in the evening or at night. I think its the fact when you wake up in the morning you have more acidic acids in your stomach from sleeping which can build up a larger amount of acids in your stomach and drinking coffee makes it worse. I've turned to tea but even sometimes tea with caffeine will upset my stomach. I've been trying to drink vegtable juice or something natural and B12 vitamins just so I'm not sick in your morning but it's definitely hard to adjust to!

I always vomit after drinking coffee, even a sip. Time of day doesn't matter, full or empty stomach also doesn't matter. I've had this problem all my life. Wish I could drink it as the only caffeinated drink I can ingest is non-sugar-free colas (I'm allergic to aspartame, etc.).

I’ve noticed when I drink coffee with creamer I gag and then vomit like clock work every morning. I can’t have children so that’s not why. So what is it?

I’ve also been doing this for several months now. Never bothered me before. I am lactose intolerant so I think since anytime I eat dairy I go to the bathroom within minutes but the gagging and puking is new.

I had hot milk with some decaf coffee, no sugar, and then 15 minutes later I felt my throat swollen. It had never happened before, I drank some water and the swelling went down. What could it be?
