The Dr. Bernstein Diet is a very low-calorie diet which is complemented with regular injections of vitamins B6 and B12. It is a medically supervised weight loss plan, meaning that it is designed to be administered under the supervision of healthcare professionals. Self-administration of such a program, particularly the injections, might not be safe.
Vitamin B6 and B12 injections are part of the program to help optimize metabolism and boost energy levels. The frequency and timing of these injections would typically be personalized based on an individual's health status, nutritional needs, and weight loss goals.
I don't have access to individual patient data or guidelines from Dr. Bernstein's specific protocol about which days to inject the B6 and B12. Moreover, I must emphasize that any injection should be administered under the guidance and supervision of a healthcare professional. This is to prevent complications, such as infection, allergic reaction, or incorrect administration.
If you are interested in following a diet plan at home, it would be safer and more effective to consult a dietitian. They can help you come up with a plan that suits your individual needs and is safe for you to follow. Always remember that a balanced diet and regular exercise are key components of any healthy weight loss program.
