Sorry if i'm asking in wrong place as I'm new here. My question covers more than the subject it's asked in.
This morning I woke up to a really awful pain in my face. I have a really bad toothache, ear ache, head ache and a throbing pain behind my right eye. My nose is blocked and it really hurts on the bridge of my nose. I've never felt so bad in all my life. How come I have all these conditions at the same time, they must be connected in some way. Also, It's not one tooth that hurts it's all of them.
When I put my head down on my knees the pain disappears but as soon as I lift my head it returns.
I'm a bit worried because I used to be a Subutex addict and I used to crush it up and snort the power. I done this 3-4 times everyday for about 3 years. This was all about 3 years ago now and I haven't done it in all that time but because subutext is such a good pain releaver I done it again today because of all the pain I'm in. Literally about an hour after, all the pain was gone.
It is a really bad habit which I don't want to get into again. Some may think I don't deserve your advice which I would understand but I need to know if it's possible that all this pain is because of some damage I've cause through all the years of snorting power. It's always been my biggest fear and the main reason I gave up in the first place. I worried that it's eaten up all the tissue behind my right nostral and eye. Is this possible?
Do you think that the pain could be my drug abuse coming back to haunt me? What damage could I have done? How can I get help and what type of help is their? If you don't think it's connected, why have I woken up to all this pain in different places on the right of my face? As soon as I snorted the subutext the pain vanished, does this indicate anything? Before taking this drastic measure, how come the pain went when I tilted my head down?
If your not sure what subutext is, it's buprenorphine which is a type of medicine called an opioid and it should be taken by letting it disolve under the tongue. It's used to treat heroin addicts as an alternative to methadone.
Please help me.

Hi,
I'm sorry you're not feeling well. I do not think the pain was caused by your "drug abuse coming back to haunt" you.
I strongly suspect you have a sinus infection. Teeth pain, ear pain, head aches, and pain behind the orbits of the eyes are very common with these. Yes, all your teeth too, not just one.
Hot compresses may ease some of the pain but you'll need to treat the source of the infection. See your doctor and they'll probably take an x-ray of your sinuses to see if they are congested. You'll probably be put on an antibiotic.
Please don't use the subutex and certainly don't snort it. The tissues in your sinuses are probably very raw and swollen as is. It is an opiate and that is why it worked so well. Opiates can be difficult to come off of as you know.
Treat the cause, not the symptom.
You are always welcome to our advice, always.
Please let us know how you're doing.
