When i look at them in the mirror my left testical seems to be about 1cm lower then the other, when i feel them i can feel a rather big lump on the top of my left testical, it doesn't hurt or anything though. I have known about this for about a year now but i don't want tell my parents but do want to get it checked out, should i try and go to the docters alone, leave it or what ?

Best way to know what it is, is to see doctor.
As you mentioned lump on testicle, I am guessing its varicocele. Search google and this forum for "varicocle" and you will know much about it. But please, dont forget to see the doctor asap.
