Hi there I have been diagnosed with stage four endo last June and since then have had 2 surgeries to remove cysts and unstick organs
On the first surgery they found sever enough on my bowel so I was rescheduled for a further surgery with a bowel surgeon present and had to have meetings and counciling with a stoma nurse and come to terms with possibility waking up with a ileostomy bag,
Thankfully that was avoided and after my surgery in April this year I felt more like myself for the first time in years, until the pain has started to creep back in. The tiredness and acheyness has returned too, I'm on zoladex injection every 28 days into my stomach to try to shut my ovaries down to prevent endo growing back as quickly, it would seem these aren't effective and are giving me menopause symptoms as well as now diagnosed carpal tunnel syndrome in both hands
I am being scheduled for a hysterectomy in the new year hopefully and the surgeon recommends a full one with ovaries too as this is where my issues lie mainly with ovarian cysts etc
I am only 27 luckily we had our son when I was 21, buy it is still so sad to think thats it Def no more babies
I'm just after reaching out to anyone of a similar age to me who is going through this or has gone through this, what is the recovery like I have a 6 year old to deal with too but thankfully a wonderful hubby and lots of family support but I need to know how long will I be out of action for really as I work too, also going onto hrt at a young age and it's effects on your body and mind, I've struggled with severe post natal depression and post traumatic stress in the past too so I worry I will fall into depression again without the right level of hormones etc
I appreciate any help possible, any advice or tips
I am in the UK too if that makes a difference as I know us medical procedures differ slightly
Thank u all in advance
