But if you got to ER they have to take care of you HMO If you get a bill you can pay 5dollars a month and they can never put it on your credit. You need to get health together instead of worrying about BILLS you will always owe somebody until the day you lev the earth. I'm going through the the change just like you and I'm going to OBY next week. BIg bill and all I just OWE them just like everyone else.
Mine started may of 2015, normal period at normal time but never stopped. Bleed heavy with a day or 2 break once a month. Then went to light bleeding all the time. Finally had enough and went to docs, gave me a deposit shot, 1 day later bleeding stopped. Great right. Thought my life could return to normal, lol, not. When my normal period started June 8th 2016, it was very light bleeding and again has not stopped. I am alergic to pads and tampons dry me out bad. You ladies are not alone here.
I'm experiencing the same problem, I'm 45 and been bleeding heavy for 2 weeks and lots of large clots!! Finally made me a dr. Appointment for tomorrow. Time to stop putting it off!! Good luck!!

I have experienced the same thing I haven't had a period in one year then one day wham heavy bleeding so bad i had to change ever hour I don't know why this is happening but it's been 2 weeks now I'm tired drained and spend my time mostly in the bathroom in 56 and I was hoping a year without my period was great no more bleeding but it came back and with such force but the doc said its a normal function I don't think heavy bleeding after menopause is normal but I'm afraid I bleed so bad one day I will bleed out but your not alone

Did you ever get any answers. I'm 50 and I've basically been on my period for the last 17 days.... very very light but dark in color. Just enough that I have to wear a pad or I'll ruin my underwear.
53 didn't have a period for 10 months then the next one was 6 months then 3 months now I have been bleeding for 3 weeks gushing blood at times. Don't know what to do feel really weak leg pain and terrible headaches please help
It's crazy, right? My Dr said it sounds like perimenopause (and I'm 48, so I'm right at that age). But then the heavy bleeding started. I have to go back to her. So scared, though! I know you're all thinking the same thing -- the "C" word. Because the symptoms of that are the same as the symptoms for perimenopause, conveniently :( It really started a couple of years ago with slight shifts in my cycle (coming a few days sooner). Which sucked because I've always had 2 days of really heavy (as in can't leave the house heavy) clots and bleeding (I'm tall; overweight -- and they said I had a big fibroid back when I was pregnant at 32 -- so I guess the heavy periods are the norm for me, from what I've read). But then it went away pretty quickly with a couple of very light days afterward. So now it's coming closer? Bummer, right?
Then a few months ago everything seemed to go more haywire. I got one day of period, and that was it. The next period was somewhat normal, so I figured the other one was just stress. Then I had a week of spotting. Then a somewhat normal period. Then a few weeks of nothing, then spotting -- so I figured it would be the same as last time. Then about a week of really heavy bleeding and clots. FFS! I thought menopause would be a blessing!!! Life just isn't fair. At least it had better be menopause. After reading similar experiences online, I'll give it another week or two, but if it doesn't stop I'll be going back to the Dr. I'm not wanting an operation, but seriously I'd rather have a hysterectomy than years of this.

6 weeks my friend is worried I'm frustrated thanks all , no pain went pink pink nothing bleeding like a stuck pig for weeks now looked like might stop for a week second week of might be ending I'm tired as hell today I do not work out I work heavy industrial a welder I lift up to 100# I was 160# now 190# stress level over the top .3 preg two kids 26 &21 .49 1/2 years old . I'm told " very flexible " clots large enough to feel them coming out . I am muscular enough to be told I can not weigh almost 200#. I got worried about how long this can go , read ten weeks and screamed ten weeks!!!! Been saying a quote from a comic for days now "you're gonna bleed to death" (Richard Pryor ) thanks for the input , if I can keep from bleeding threw my clothes when lifting heavy parts70-100# I won't worry so much now using " soft cup" and pads I would love to have my uturis pulled but I would lose to much work good luck

I just went to my OBGYN and they prescribed for Prometrium and I'll keep you posted. It has to do with hormones which is not balance. I wish you can go and see a doctor for some test. As long you don't feel pain in your abdomen you should be ok.
