I live in Florida too and the humidity is a killer. I made a washable, detachable crotch for briefs, I call them coolwrapps as they literally wrap around the crotch. Takes seconds to change out, and wash beautifully. Made of 100% cotton, including the thread, and hold the soggy elastic in the crotch up off the skin. Paper products for bladder control do not really sop up all the sweat, push out on the elastic of ones underwear between the legs and frequently cause huge, painful pimples on the pantyline due to moisture. Coolwrapps are easy to find online, as is Hexsel's Hyperhidrosis, the symptoms might be way to familiar to you. Hexsel's Hyperhidrosis is also called Inguinal Hyperhidrosis, and effects men as well. But men at least have a choice of boxers or briefs, and lots of over the counter products to deal with Jock Itch, moreover when men present to a doctor there is a greater probability that the doctor will take his complaints seriously. Women are more likely to be diagnosed as incontinent because apparently women are not smart enough to know when we are sweating or urinating. Go online and do some research on Hexsel's Hyperhidrosis. Please stop using talc in the crotch, talc has been detected in ovarian cancer tissue. It is being passed over by researchers in the medical community as unimportant but I suspect when it is found over and over in testicular cancer, someone may figure it out. Talc and asbestos are chemically very similar, moreover new parents are being instructed NOT to use talc on their new baby, and it is no longer included is supplies from the hospital. Enjoy your online search, and remember, you probably do not need a doctor to tell you when you have diahrrea either.

I am so glad I'm not the only one. I've been going to the gym quite a bit and there is only a problem when I run. Then I stretch afterwards its so embarrassing!

I think this has been a growing problem for many women, as the proliferation of disposable pads takes up more shelf space with each passing year. Many prescription medications for cancer, and blood pressure (that were not around years ago,) have side effects of excessive sweat, and we are a sedentary group of people, then add in the man-made fibers clothing is made out of, and it is no wonder. And no, it is not just you. Many women suffer in silence, the last thing we want is to admit we suffer from this condition. But it is not just you, honest. Paper products are so drying to the skin in this area, and many women suffer reactions, as well as bladder infections. I made something that has given many people relief, it literally wraps aound the crotch of ones briefs. It is washable, made of muslin, and bias cut so it has plenty of give. A new concept in underwear, coolwrapps. The extra P stands for perspitation.

I'm 25 and I have the same thing. Everywhere I go it's an issue and very embarassing. Even clothed chairs I'm known to leave a wet streak. I just tried the green gold bond this morning which I've read somewhere. I really hope it works.

I would not use powder, powder is chemically very similar to asbestos. Moreover hospitals recommend parents not use powder on their new babies at all. I think in time the scientific community may begin to sound the warning bell, but at this point talc found in ovarian cancer tissue is not acknowledged as important. Maybe talc will have to show up in testicular cancer tissue before anyone begins to understand. But Klima makes a product for groin sweating and I make an absorbent, cotton, washable, coolwrapp. that has helped many people, myself included.  ***this post is edited by

I too have this problem. My panties are soaked if I am in the sun active for a few hours. I mean soaked. No smell just sweat. I feel discusting and have to shower and change. Its sooo... frustrating. If anyone knows what to do to fix or atleast restrain this let us all know! This is odviuosly normal for most wemon. But.. seriously there should be somthing we can do. I am using panty liners everyday which sucks as you all could imagine. Oh and this did not occur with me untill after I had my son. I am 26. I had my son when I was 20.

Hi Ash,

I know how frustrating it is, I have dealt with it for decades never knowing it actually had a name. I just thought I was some sort of freak of nature, but it is a real disease: Hexsel's Hyperhidrosis. Oddly enough many doctors are even aware of it, but as you know--it is very real and awful to live with. I finally made a device that literally wraps around ones crotch and attaches to itself, outside the crotch. It is made of all cotton, muslin cut on the bias hence, it moves with you. There is a very thin liner of terry completely enclosed within the Wrapp that is bias cut as well. The Wrapps are washable hundreds of times. I used to use liners too but they frequently disintegrated due to so much sweat, which in part was caused by the plastic liner. Klima Health Solutions also puts out a solution geared specifically for the groin and I though I have never used it, I have heard good things about
it.  ***this post is edited by moderator *** *** web addresses not allowed***

I have dealt with this situation for decades, so I know what you are up against. Just know, you are not alone. It is called Hexsel's Hyperhidrosis, and many doctors have barely heard of it. But if they had it they would know more about it than they ever wanted to know.

I have this problem. I only started noticing it after I was pregnant. After my delivery the sweating down there and the Oder has just increased. Before I was pregnant it was just a normal thing like when I'd be really active or outside on a really hot day, nothing out of the range of normalcy. But now I can't even go two hours at work without smelling myself and feeling super embaranced. I'm 21 years old and have no idea what to do about this.

Liquid baby powder! Talc powder is not good for that area. I use soft and precious liquid baby powder. I must say it is not easy to find, but certainly's effective!

I am so sad and discouraged that all of you have this same problem that I have. It's dreadful! I plan to call my doctor and see about the Drysol. Just for the record: I am 41 very active and jog at minimum 15 miles per week. I have three children ages 3-12. While I could drop a few lbs, I am not overweight. The sweating in my "nether regions" started when my middle son was about 2. I sweated so much watching my oldest daughter cheer lead at a peewee football game that I looked like I wet my pants. It was humiliating and continues. Last week, I sweated through my shorts at a Little League baseball game. It was not even 80 degrees! I live in Atlanta, GA and it is very humid here but good grief! I have taken to wearing mostly loose dresses and mesh or lace undies. I frequently find my self standing over the a/c register with the a/c blowing up my skirt. Ugh! I don't mind sweating my running clothes out. I'm working out. I should be sweating like crazy! ( I mostly wear black spandex pants so I don't think it's quite as noticeable.) I should not however be sweating like crazy while I'm eating dinner with my family! what is most perplexing is that while by bottom seems to be sweating on overdrive, I'm not really very sweaty anywhere else. In fact, I have wondered if wearing deodorant/antiperspirant in my armpits for probably 30 years has caused my underarms to stop sweating (they do sweat a bit) and forced the sweat to exit out of my crotch. I don't know but it is grossly embarrassing! Here are a few clothes tips that I think help a little: loose dresses (even in the winter) that have a print seem to camouflage the sweat. I always carry a spare pair of undies in my purse (in a ziplock bag so that if I have to change the wet ones they are not floating around my purse all wet.) I also carry a travel size thing of baby powder. The powder can get every where and be a bit noticeable if it gets on dark clothes, tho so be careful when you apply. Also, make sure it doesn't get on your chair!!! I'll try to reply again after I try the Drysol.

Hello, I'm a 26 year old female and have been dealing with increased sweating in my inner thigh area ever since I hit puberty. After trying EVERYTHING possible to man kind, I have finally found a solution that works for me.

For sweaty inner thighs that cause a smell & cause underwear to get wet:

1. See your MD and let him/her know that you have increased sweating in your thigh area.

2. They should prescribe "Drysol" for you which is applied to your inner thighs at bedtime.

3.Wash the area in the morning with Dr. Bronner's peppermint castile soap. (Available at Target stores) This will feel tingly which

will leave your skin feeling refreshed.

4. Females-apply toilet paper (folded over 2 times) onto your underwear as a barrier to protect any odor's going onto your underwear from your vagina & thighs.

5. Change the toilet paper every 3-4 hours.

6. The more you obsess about sweating/smelling etc., the more your going to sweat! Don't get nervous.....and good luck.

I'm another victim of excessive crotch sweating.  I'm 36, slightly overweight, and exercise a lot.  This has been happening for a few years now.  When I get out of the shower, I can't get dressed until I'm done getting ready.  All the of the movement will cause sweat to drip down my inner thighs.  I have to towel off and sit in front of the fan before I can get dressed.  When on vacation last year, I walked a mile (easy for me) but by the time I got there I had sweat through my shorts and it looked like I peed myself.  I had to quickly find a place to buy new shorts. I could have died from embarassment.  I suffer from "wet chairs" at restaurants, I can't wear skirts as my legs get sticky with sweat and stick together causing chafing when I walk, and I sometimes get painful cysts in my nether region which I'm assuming is from all of the moisture.  I have to wear black tights to the gym to keep my legs from sticking together and to camouflage the wetness.  My doctor checked my thyroid and said it was normal.  She prescribed Hypercare which I tried for a while, but didn't notice any improvement.  I've tried powders, antiperspirant, and panty liners, all not offing a real solution. I've thought about trying acupuncture as I've heard that it can "release the heat" trapped in your body.  Not really sure what else to do at this point.

Wow. that sounds like me to a T. This is very embarassing. I actually slide down the chair to remove the wet streak and sometimes it makes it worst. I always have a magazine with me so i can leave it in the chair when i get up and hopefully by the time someone sits the wet streak would be gone. When i go for out. i just stand to prevent being embarassed. I need to check with my doctor to see if its medical related
