My son is 7days old and I have noticed that his testicles are swollen. I am very worried. I talked to my husband and he says he doesn’t know anything about it. Man!!!! I am very worried that this could be some sort of an infection on testicles. How dangerous is it? Any reply is more than welcome! Thank you
Hello! If both of his testicles are swollen, then you have nothing to worry about. Sometimes, newborns carry an extra fluid or have received extra dose of hormones from the mothers before the birth. He should flush this fluid while peeing in a few days time. However, if there is just one testicle that got swollen, he may suffer from hydrocele, which is also accumulated fluid. This hydrocele should go away on its own until he reaches 1, but if it doesn’t he may need to undergo a minor surgery to drain the fluid.
