I have been following this forum for numerous years and have acquired a great amount of information. But now I have a problem or at least I need some good advice. I have been on inuslin for the last 3 years, always following my doctor's instructions and diet and everything. Despite everything, I have observed that my sugars are getting on average higher and higher when I do measurements despite the fact I have the same dose/diet/level of exercise. Any suggestions?

Hello, I see that you are very concerned about your blood sugar readings steadily climbing.  It is an unfortunate thing of being a diabetic that sometimes it gets worse over time.  A patient starts out controlling it with diet and exercise, then onto oral medication, and finally insulin.  You can be doing everything right but it consequently ends up with needing more medication. You can speak to your doctor about it.  You may need to have an adjustment made in your insulin.  Does anyone else have this issue of your blood sugars increasing though you have not changed anything in your diet or exercise?
