Ok, so I have never had an irregular period in my life. I woke up with really bad indgestion this morning and threw up. Then my back hurt so severly I've been laid up since 5am. Haven't been able to walk or anything. I did manage to get into the bath tub. But couldn't muster the energy to get the job done. I've ran a couple of low-grade fevers today but nothing severe. I started with some abdominal cramping earlier this morning. Then I thought that it was blood in my urine because it wasn't bad or anything. But I have started my pertod again after being off of it for 13 days. I have been having headaches. Basically, every symptom that I have I usually have during my period. But this time they are very bad. I have also been feeling very weak and joint pain. If someone could get back to me and let me know if they have had similar problems, please let me know.
I've been taking diet pills called redline and i lost 20 lbs in a week. And I have missed some pills this month of my birth control

I have had a sudden (not in my cycle) onset of my period, with horrible abdominal, vaginal and joint pain accompanied by fever and dizziness. It was horrible, i thought I was seriously sick, but I couldnt go anywhere or do anything.

I hope it helps this ha happened to me before, though I've never heard anyone else except you. I have yet to hear anything back from my doctor a I am now (the episode with fever was 8 months ago) having lots of pain (not the usual menstral kind) but once i make it in there is not more swelling.

It scary stuff, glad to know im not alone in the weird fever randm menstrual episode.

I had the same thing happen to me. My back hurts so bad I think I am going to loose my mind. I dont have fever, I am cramping like I am going to start my period. But I just had my period and then 13 days later I had it again, just as heavy, I think it was worse. I am still cramping and I just got off 3 days ago.

I too had an irregular period and the fever and pains...I couldn't walk and was curled up in a ball for 11 hours....went to the doc, turned out it was a kidney infection.......soon as it cleared up I got Aunt flow and all was well...but you could also be preggo...get a blood test from the dr.

I have something similar, it only happens the first day of my period, but not every month. I turned 30 this last birthday and it has been happening more frequently. Symptoms start slow with period cramping, then snowballs as cramping becomes severe and includes diarrhea and sometimes vomiting, zero energy, hot flashes or fever, then chills and sometimes even a kind of hallucination (everything just looks weird or I get those weird "I'm gonna pass out sparkles"). My miracle drug is Immodium AD (thanks sis), its stop that horrible cyclical cramping pain long enough for me to breathe so I'm not squirming on the bathroom floor.

One doctor diagnosed me with endometreosis. My mom thinks it may be a hormonal imbalance. I live a healthy livestyle with a good diet, exercise, no smoking, no drugs. I do take medication for depression and anxiety. I have some minor whiskers on my face and acne consistent with hormonal areas. These symptoms together are partially consistent with PCOS. I am considering birth control pills again but I worry about side effects and whether it promotes cancer. I guess if it works I don't mind relying on Immodium but wish I understood what happens to me and why... I don't want it getting worse.

Anyone any thoughts?

ConcernedGuest, I have the exact same problems! I'm actually cramping right now and hoping that it doesn't get worse. My doctor's appointment isn't until next month but I'm pretty sure I wanna go on birth control, I think it'll help. I dunno how they diagnose PCOS though. Please keep us updated on what you find out/decide.

I have very irregular periods, that often times last for weeks. My period won't come for months, and then WHAM, its here for three weeks and so heavy that I don't dare leave the house for fear that I will overbleed my tampon and pads and have an embarrassing episode in public. Once I stood up at work and found that I was sitting in a puddle. I have been to the doctor several times, as this continues to concern me and each time (even with different doctor's) I am told that I need to lose weight and exercise as this will make my periods become more regular. They also suggest putting me on birth control pills, but I have always told them no. I have been down that road on two different meds, and I still bled for over 20 days straight. That is no help.

I just started my period today for the first time since February (I think???) and I am in tremendous pain. My lower back feels like I got kicked by a horse. I have pain in my pelvic area, hips, and thighs as well as mild pain throughout my entire body. Everything just hurts. Nothing helps. Last night the only thing that briefly took away the pain long enough for me to relax was a White Russian (a shot of Vodka, two shots of Kahlua mixed with milk and ice. It was great, but I don't think I could have gotten away with having one before work this morning. Any other suggestions anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated!

THANKS!

I think I am having the same thing ? Can you please let me know what happened with you ? I was having sharp lower right abdomen pain for 2-3 days and then my bf and I had sex - I started bleeding like having a period with in 3 hours. The last day of my last period was 16 days ago !! I have never had this happen ( I'm a 26-28 day ) and with the abdomen pain too, I am alarmed !! This morning still bleeding a lot ( light pink to red ) and now my middle of my back is aching too. ( My left arm is even feeling tingles but is probably not related and * Note - I have been very stressed out and have lost about 10 lbs. so maybe triggered this not sure )
So , Lower right sharp abdomen pain ( gone now, but still a little tender) and period started 2 weeks early - hours after intercourse with now middle back ache. Any one have this and find out what it is ??? Please help - I have no insurance and don't know if I should wait it out or get in to a clinic asap !

I have the same problem, I'm seventeen and started taking the pill because the doctor said it helps ease period pain and I know when to expect my monthly coming. I get my period every three weeks, sometimes more often. I have period like cramps all the time and sometimes I can't walk either; i get head aches, back pains and I'm always bloated. I saw the doctor an they wanted to do a pregnancy test and a papsmere, even though I haven't had sex, it didn't help any and i asked to change contraception but they never did, when I stop taking the pill I feel great, but otherwise I'm
always in pain :-(

I have been going thru the same things. Only I thought it was due to my degenerative disc disease. Found out, I have a severely tilted uterus that is causing a lot of pain and irregular periods. Some times I bleed so bad there isn't any leaving the bathroom. I am having to have hysterectomy to try and lessen the pain in my legs and back.
