I would like to know something about sjogren's disease therapy. I have sjogren's disease for two years now. The thing that bothers me the most is dry mouth. Now I have oral infection. My friend told me that, since he suffers from the same disease, I should try antifungal therapy. Is antifungal therapy safe in sjogren's?
Oral infections are common thing which develop from dry mouth. If you suffer from those infections frequently you should definitely use antifungal agents. You can use nystatin troches. Occasionally you may need to use fluconazole, antifungal medication taken in pill form. So it is safe to use that kind of therapy but nevertheless you should consult doctor.
