I have heard that cinnamon is quite often used in herbal therapies for diseases, but what on earth for? I use cinnamon in my cooking at times, but I never knew that it could also be used for medicinal purposes! So can someone enlighten me and tell me what cinnamon is used for in herbal therapies?
I have used cinnamon to improve my circulation, and I have to say that it really does work for that purpose. I have also heard that it can have an antibacterial effect and work in fighting off infections, though I have to say that I have never attempted this myself. You can drink it as a tea or make a tincture, using either powdered cinnamon or the bark, which you can cook.
helps manage blood sugar and helps digestion
Can cinnamon be used to treat cystitis, and if so, can prolonged use cause bladder damage?
