Hi, I am worried for my mother. She has just been through a heart attack a week ago and already received a therapy. It looks like hear health is much better now, but I can see that she has different type of problem now. It seems as if she is slowly falling into depressive mood and I would like to know if that is common for people with heart problems?
Well, it is possible. Usually, people that have some heart condition or has been through a heart attack develop some sort of death fear. They realize how fragile life can be and that make them a bit different. Some even experience physical pain because of their condition and that also might lead to depression. Whatever the cause, it might be treated, just as any other type of depression.
