I have developed pathological skin condition but still do not have diagnosis. My skin is scratchy and easily gets red. It has become very sensitive and red lines left after it has been lightly scratched. I guess that it is dermatographia. A friend of mine had it couple years ago. Is dermatographia (sp?) itchy?
It is itchy and scratchy and causes all the symptoms you described. Dermatographia is usually not serious but can be uncomfortable as you noticed. It even does not require treatment and symptoms just leave away in a short period. Antihistamines are prescribed sometimes to relieve itching. But you should check if it is dermatographia that you have developed. Diagnosis is made by very simple test, so don’t delay it.
