I'm 17 and I have read various things that say its dangerous to be pregnant younger than 18 and there is a higher chance to have an unhealthy baby. I really want a healthy baby in April 2015. Is what I've read true? :(
Hello iamjasonsgirl
Every single woman develops and matures differently. Yes, I was pregnant at this age and had a normal healthy baby. But, to be on the safer side - let a gynec examine you. Good luck
Thank you :) I hope I get one, too.
My best friend had a baby at 14. Her baby is 8 years old today and was born weighing a healthy 8lb 2oz. Whatever you heard or read is complete BS.
Whatever you have read, disregard it. We are females. What does that mean? Think about to the old ages, what was the females role back then? To have babies. At what age did most females get married and have babies, when they hit puberty they were usually married off so that they could start a family as most did not survive past 30 - 40 depending on style of life.
So no, it's not dangerous to be pregnant when you are a teen, that's what our bodies are designed to do - lucky you, your body will bounce back quicker than a lot of older ladies having babies, like me. It's just the stereo-type - you need to finish school, have an education, be settled, kids raising kids, etc. Good luck!
Thanks y'all. Appreciated. :)
