My child gets served French fries at school nearly every day - they are part of a so called healthy school lunch programme that they recently introduced. Well, I do know that French fries come in all shapes and kinds, and that they are not all as bad as McDonalds, but let's face it... French fries can hardly be said to be good for children. Or am I wrong?
I make chips at home on a regular basis, from scratch. I do this by cutting regular potatoes into chip shapes, after which I soak them in water for a while, sprinkle them with just a little bit of oil and put them in the oven on an oven plate. This makes healthy, non processed chips. I'm not saying this is what they do at your kid's school just that it is possible.
