Hi everyone I want to start with Mary Winsor Pilates program. There is just one tiny problem. I was recently doing charity in a nearby church and I tried to pick up one heavy box. That wasn't very smart. I got back injury and it was really bad. Stopped me of going to work for a whole week. Now I’m back in the game. ;) As I said before, I want to start doing pilates but since my back still hurts a little, I am planning to do 20 minute of exercises daily. Is that enough to experience any gains?

Hello to you :)

Sure it is. It’s enough. You shouldn’t force yourself of doing more than you can. Mary Winsor Pilates actually has series of exercises that originally last 20 minutes. And you aren’t suppose to do them longer than that.

I love Mary, buy I am not in a good shape so my daily exercises last 20 minutes, never more. I feel that my muscles couldn’t handle longer series. And I don’t even exercise every day, I practice 3 times per week and I think the results will still be great.

So, don’t worry, 20 minutes is enough. :)

Well, you’ve certainly found the right pilates program for you. I don’t like Mary’s program. For me, 20 minutes is …well, pretty much nothing. And she makes 20 minute workouts that just don’t work for me. I watched her exercises for Buns and Thighs. I was doing the exercises along with her, and just as I feel that the exercising work on my muscles, she changes the position. -.- I had to pause video every few minutes so I can keep doing my exercise before she changes the position, so I can follow her.

If you are a beginner or as in your case you have some injury, you will love her, you won’t be having problems to follow her.
