Is it possible to get pregnant 10 years after a vasectomy

My wife and I are expecting our first baby in November/2012 after I was post vasectomy 19 years when I had my reversal. It's very possible. Took us 11 months post reversal to get pregnant! We have a little girl on the way now! Thank you God!

So wow... read all the comments here and am totally baffled. My husband (he's 40) and I (I'm 25) have started saving for his reversal (hopefully after next tax season!), he got his V surgery 10 years ago after the birth of his son. He wasn't so keen on having any other children with his wife at the time (things weren't going so well). He and I have been married now for only 3 months. I have a little girl who's almost 4 from a previous relationship. Obviously since we're saving for a reversal, a baby is something we both want. I'm usually pretty clockwork with my period, but I was throwing up the other day and I'm 5 days late. Not super late, but enough to make me curious. Especially after reading these posts. What a crazy thing it would be to be pregnant! I'm going to take a pregnancy test tomorrow if AF doesn't show up and I'll re-post! I hope my husband doesn't think I've been unfaithful to him. That's really my big fear in all this. Much luck to all you ladies hoping to conceive!

If your husband is a military veteran he may get the reversal vasectomy done for free at the Los Angeles VA Medical Center free or nearly free. My wife is 18 years younger than I am. I have 4 adult children from bad marriage number 1, and we arehoping for a son about one year after our daughter is born. Best wishes and I hope that you get pregnant. It's kind of scary with the current administration in place and the economy being so bad. Hang in there!

omg i no how u feeel the same with me and my husband he had a vestomy two with his ex i want a baby more then ever i bet it sucks seeing everybody with a baby with but us it sucks

hello ya all my name is ronnie i have had a vasectomy 6 years ago from a past relationship and yes it is possible i got my wife preg. and now have a baby boy i was still alittle off because i was fixed then took a blod test not because i did not trust my wife its for my own relief i would of takin the child as my own anyway but blood test came back as my child so it can happen hope this helps from someone that has had it done and now i think she might be preg again 1 month with no period so will see miricals can happen to the best

I had a vasectomy 12 years ago and my partner for 8 year is now 8 1/2 weeks pregnant...We remember clearly when it happened and the altrasound is correct to the date. I believe in her faithfulness and trust. We had prayed for 2 years to have a baby and planned for a reversal. The comment from my GP was! it is possible for one cheek egg to escape and make his way, because that is ALL it takes 1.

To the husband or Partner, If you trust your wife, Hold on to her with both hand and don't let her go.....failing that, get a DNA, I feel sad for the child....he / she didn't plan it.

My husband had a vasectomy 13 years ago. Our oldest just moved out and the other 2 are teenagers. We would love to have another baby but can't afford the surgery. I am praying for a miracle every month. I have wanted another baby for a long time and now he does too.

I had a vasectomy in 2000, and my wife at the time, thought in 2006 that she was pregnant. I went and got my sperm tested and there were live ones after 6 years. I had a second vasectomy in 2006 to ensure that i had no more children (i have 7) and now I am divorced and remarried and 50 years old and having ,yes, another baby. Vasectomys don seem to be good after 5 years, which is outside the window of failure for statistics. Long story short, i will be a father again in 8 months after 2 vasectomys.

My now ex-bf had a visectomy over ten years ago...his youngest is 11...i am now 6 months pregnant with his fourth boy...he is in denial about it being his but we were together 3 1/2 years...i have been with no other man..dna will prove him wrong...but yes it is very possible apparently. I also had a miscarriage with him 2 years ago.
