New here obviously. I'm 24, from Athens, GA and just recently got into running for the first time in my life due to my girlfriend and her New Years resolution.
I've had a childhood that was rampant with asthma attacks just from playing with neighborhood kids. I've never been in TOO good of shape although judging by my size (5' 11" 160lbs) many have assumed I am...
I've been running for about a months time and I can run a steady mile in 10 minutes and I've run two and a half miles in under 30 minutes which is nothing, I'm sure, to experienced runners but it makes me happy!
I'd like to enter a local 5k that's on the trails here at a local place I love to go to. Does anyone think this is too much too soon? I'd like to finish it in under 45 minutes.
