Hello everyone, Im 13 years old, a girl, and I wanted to know if my mom is abusing me, okay well, when I entered 7th grade my relation ship with my mother changed from happy to hateful, it's almost like there were two sides of my mom. Loving, and hateful, and it always made me so sad. Well, this year she starting calling me names when she thew her tantrums, like "b***h" "m***n" "stupid" but mostly "b***h". I eventually started to self harm which is another long story, but anyway, I never really though of it as abuse until she started to hit me really hard. It was so painful and she also punches me a lot, sometimes the punching leaves bruises and the hitting usually leaves red marks. So is my mom abusing me?
First I am sorry you are in this situation. The name calling is verbal abuse. If she is hitting you and physically harming you it is ABUSE. You should tell your counselor or teacher. Even call one of the abuse hot lines available. I know about self harming like cutting and burning yourself to escape the pain. It is not worth hurting yourself. Your mom may be going through stuff she cant handle but that is no excuse for her to harm her child. 1-800-4-A-CHILD or your local police or 911 depending on the area. Please get help before things get out of control.
