I've been on norcos for so long because of pain and my doc said it's safe but in really low Dosage throughout pregnancy! I have an rx from him and I'm going to tell the obgyn about it I'm just afraid what she's going to say! I don't want to be on Methadone cause I heard a lot of pain things from other women about this and they said they stayed on norcos and baby was fine? What does your aunt think? And since I do have an rx from my doc I should be just fine at birth right?

So I have an rx from my doctor. So at birth when they check and if it's positive they will run my name and see I picked up a script at Walgreens or something and see I was Prescribed them right? Because I get them from my doctor not the obgyn??

I know this post is over a year old but I have searched and searched for an answer Maybe you can provide me. I have a script for the same and am 6 months pregnant. My OB has said to keep taking because it outways the stress of pain. However, I would like to limit use and try and stop before the birth, as I do not want baby to suffer side effects. I could try and push through the pain :( I wonder if all of this is on file, when my baby is born, will social services take her since I am on this medication? Or would they need proof of my doctors script at delivery? Any advice for that would be appreciated! Thank you

Mothers are drug tested in Mississippi as well. As for the aspirin, i have to take one a day due to a weak cervix (docs orders). I also got 2 teeth pulled a week ago and was prescribed Norco 5 every 4 to 6 hours.

Some states they do test and i am glad my home state if Georgia does. I have seem babies going through withdrawals after they are born and it's pathetic and sad to see what they go through.
